I am using SketchUp and Layout to creating permit plans for the City, I have done both:

• Created everything in 2D, wich makes it very easy to save a scene and show it in layout
• Created a 3D model, which needs the extra step of some settings to show it correct in the scene and then transfer it to Layout

I can't decide which workflow makes more sense for me, and which of the approach is easier to work with when it comes to changes to the model.

which of these two options are you using?

I am working on a Mac with SketchUp 2020.

I used to go back and forth between SketchUp and Layout, and simply updated the model references in Layout after I changed something in Sketchup. This was never an issue and worked great.

I updated to 2020 and this is not working reliably anymore. To relink the inserted drawing does not make a difference.
Sometimes it works, sometimes it does not, sometimes it takes a day.
I contacted SketchUp help, they told me there is an update, but the update did not change a thing.

Does anyone else have the problem?

I am working with SU 2016 pro. I had no idea that Sandbox would autoinstall. Maybe not on the version I have though.

I downloaded all plugins from this webpage and made sure that I have the latest versions, Lib included.

Is there any way how to remove the plugins that I can test it? Just turning them off doesn't make a difference.

I work with Sketchup 2016 pro.

About Soap bubble, I downloaded it from this webpage.
I tried to get the newest version of every plugin.

And yes I also have the latest version of Lib.

Unfortunately just turning the plugins off doesn't make a difference. Is there any other way, or do I need to reinstall Sketch up?

I installed a few new extensions/plugins to improve my workflow. But now sketch up crashes all the time. I close one open sketch window and sketch up crashes. I am also not

I installed these extensions:

Curvizard
Curviloft
FredoScale
RoundCorner
Bezier Curves
Shape Bender
Joint push pull
sandbox
soap bubble

I am at a point where I consider to reinstall sketchup, since I can't close a window.
Does anyone else have these problems?

Hi,

I am trying to draw a chair like the attached one and thought that the skin/soap plugin would be the best way for this.
But every time I use it it has at least one mistake, and I could not figure out how to fix this.
Any suggestions are appreciated.
