Hi.
Based on your picture, you can smooth soften those lines singly with Ctrl+Eraser tool, or globally with Window>Soften edges. Fredo's tools create logical subdivisions of the surfaces during modification.
Sketchup is not a nurbs modeler, like Rhino.

RE: Radial bend - various methods
Well, the patterns indicate a symmetry and other elements are radially repetitive. I believe you could make it happen. There has been one download of your skp so maybe someone is looking a little closer at workflow.

RE: Radial bend - various methods
I would suggest simply drawing two overlapping circles and remove the portions unwanted, then do the decorative patterns, perhaps after push pulling for thickness?
That is, unless you prefer to do the tapering and bending? I did not look at the skp -

It's very likely that the ticket cop will exceed his quota. And, he will be readily available at this location.

RE: Model Sync
Also, check out the methodology that Nick Sonder uses and described in his youtube videos.

RE: Looking for "Z" plugin
Hi.
I see you have not had a reply. See if this is related to the plugin you used to have?
http://sketchuptips.blogspot.com/
I want to do a little more checking, so I may return.
Edit:
Well, I thought either thomthom or TIG had a plugin that repositioned a selection to a different z. I could not find it. -
RE: Follow me modeling problem
Hi, ben:
This is a known result for the operation you are performing.
If you were to rotate the circle so that the midpoint of one of the segments in the circle lies on the x axis, the process will close the geometry. -
RE: Frustrated with zoom out upon switching projection modes
What about saving various parallel projection scenes to return to when you need it, and for that matter, non-parallel view scenes?

RE: Constraining edges or part of a mesh
Hi, Greg:
You may already know about Fredo6's Curviloft, or TIGs Extrude Tools. With these you can define things better from the outset. -
RE: Constraining edges or part of a mesh
Hi:
It seems you are talking about the native Sketchup Sandbox tools on one hand, and suggesting Artisan on the other.
Constraining the perimeter can be done in Artisan, by whaat.
Correcting the rift in this particular case I believe has been addressed by TIG. I can't remember which tool it is, maybe something to do with Superdrape?
I could see a possible use of ThomThom's Vertex Tool.
Does this help?
[surprised that you have not been answered prior to this] -
RE: GifCam - Quick and Easy Animated .gif creator
Interesting.
Thanks for posting. -
RE: Need Help - jpeg export Plugin for renderers
Hi:
Based on what I think you are asking, perhaps this topic:

Could be related? -
RE: Second Livestock โ virtual reality for chickens
Did anyone get the sound bite? The bird has a microphone.
And, yes, we do need to ponder. Edible 3d printing is gearing up.

RE: Plugin to make a hole in a group?
Just a question:
Does the punching shape have to address a face? Or, in the examples above can the punch start midway down a wall. Why? No reason. I just saw that the cutter can turn as it changes position. And I saw it align on an edge/corner as if resolving the normals for the adjacent faces. -
RE: Coral pattern question- which plugin would work?
Hi:
Could you upload an image to Sketchucation instead of that link? It is requiring a login. -
RE: Proper Landscape Art - my wife :-)
quote andyc: "If only oil-paints had an 'undo' function."
From what I see here, she don't need no undo. -
RE: Toolbar Oddities
Yes on your question.
Have you noticed a delay in loading? White work space for about 5 seconds? The toolbar and menu frame are displayed but not the work area.
