Pete, A cartridge lasts for the equivalent of 10 to 15 cigs. Its hard to put an exact figure on it because the way the e-cig is used. In the case of the MyVic they include 3 cartridges and extra packs of 5 cost $7. However it is possible to refill the cartridges using a liquid / eye drop thing. The whole deal does work out a lot cheaper for me with 20 cigs costing @8.45. So you will have to work this out for yourself. The kit cost around $57. Its worth a try even if it cost consumption of normal cigs! Mike

Hi Guys, I found one that does the job for me and thought I'd mention it in case anyone else has the need to exactly resize an app window, its Zooom/2, http://www.coderage-software.com/zooom/index.html It's not free (€12.51) but does have a 30 day trial. Mike

@bellwells said: ... You guys in Europe have such great looking bars. The buildings are wonderful and cozy. I'm jealous. This one is still the property of the Chapter of the cathedral in my town. It used to be the cellar of the chapter's granary in the 18th century and though the granary was later pulled down, they kept the cellar for obvious reasons They have some serious competition however because the bishop (in another 18th century building, in his castle) "runs" another wine cellar, too. But that's mainly for the tourists and this "ours' is for the local folks. And yes,the atmosphere of these old places rules! They are still from the time when the bishop was the landlord of the town and he was the only one who had right to keep pubs (obviously rented them out like today and was not selling wine himself )

Hi Guys, I got some further feedback from Conor the guy that invented the 3D Printer. This is what he wrote, I have attached an information sheet about the Mcor Matrix for your files. We have just launched the product in the UK and it is now available for sale in UK and Ireland. The cost of the machine is €24,950 and its running costs are up to 50 times less expensive than our competitors. The main point to get across is that at this differential, our total cost of ownership is very low depending on the throughput. It is estimated that the average annual throughput on a 3D printer in a commercial setting to be approx 80 litres. At that rate you will get a return on investment in 5 weeks, and even free (i.e. if our competitors gave you their machine for free) you would have a roi in 36 weeks. The other main selling point about the machine is that the raw material, paper and pva adhesive, make it a very eco-friendly solution, with the waste material suitable for regular paper recycling. I am attaching the PDF on the 3D Printer also. It is a bit more expensive that originally mentioned in the various articles but the low running costs and short pay-back period makes it attractive. MAD IDEA! I wonder if SketchUcation offered a 3D Printing service would it be supported? Mike

Peace and love, peace and love but dont send me no mail i am to busy, i have my drumming lessons Monday's and Wednesday's but dont forgot peace and love. I remember seeing him on a chat show about 12 months back and after listening him for a few minutes the guy came across as a total jerk, really arrogant and what seemed like a huge chip on his shoulder. The guy needs to take a long hard look at his self in the mirror and realise he got lucky in life. Maybe we should put out a web cast telling him to stop releasing dire, dire music. Peace ands love, peace and love

The logical and practical way to make something like this would be to build a laptop with a docking slot where the pad would normally go. Slot in your iPhone/iTouch and it docks, syncs, gets charged, acts as the trackpad/button(s) and maybe even as a security key (no iTouch, no workee). An advantage over typical trackpads would be the ability to display... whatever, some buttons or sliders for special purposes. If the phone is used, the audio would be channelled to the laptop sound connections. I'd like a similar deal for my car audio too. Slot in the iPhone/iTouch and use it as the store for the music, radio channel choices, nav. software, car service record, etc.

@unknownuser said: @chango70 said: I believe a new, more flexible way of political representation is urgently needed for mass Democracy to have any relavance for post-industrial societies. What do you mean by this? What kind of flexibility do you have in mind? Like I said before the problem resides in political parties voted in and making decision RE-PRESENTING you, the voting public. To use a example I used before as society become more diversified party representation becomes increasingly too simple to truely represent the spectrum of opinions. I have no ready solution to any of this. What I do know is that in order remain relavent our current democratic system will have to go through some changes to accomodate these changes otherwise we will continue to see a erosion of voting numbers (I consider anything below 50% national turnout to be void). Technology could offer us a solution. In some scandinavian countries like Demark. Electronic voting have been tried. The basic infrastructure of internet also offer great many potential for increased transparency and openess as well as direct participatory Democratic decision making. Government need to be allowed to experinment.

Mike, Looks good, not sire it'll work with my 6 mile cycle to work though. I have a feeling that fit people will buy it and then have competitions with their equally fit mates. I'd get one if it measured my riding time aswell.

I won't be using it myself...at least not until they have completely cleared up the privacy issues (which they now seem to have made a start on) and added certain basics like a Bookmarks manager and RSS feed capability. I'm sure these will come; this is just an early Beta. I'm still a little concerned about Google's attitude to private data. For instance, caching your entire browsing history going back years. I'm not talking about the Windows cache, or the Firefox/IE cache wich can easily be wiped; I'm talking about this....every search you've ever made; every page you've ever visited. I think Chrome is more than just another browser. This is Google's first stab at an online OS. I'm sure over the next few years we are going to see all manner of applications, from an online Office suite (Google Docs) to maybe even SU itself running in Chrome. This is aimed right between Microsoft's eyes.
