Hello,

I m preparing a scene wherein i have to place number of trees and tht to randomly so tht it will giv the feel of a jungle. is there any plugin to place trees randomly on the surface..
Also is there any way by which i can make the file light in size..cos when i star putting trees file gets heavy, i even tried crating ghost component of the tree but result was same....so need some help in tht also..

I m designing a township in SU, and i need a reference image on the background to adjust my view accordingly. Is this facility available in SU if yes how?? I dont want to create a plane and give a map to it..i want entire background of that image..that should be seen even i change my view.. if someone is using 3ds Max..the same facility is available in that..

Also I would like to know how to mirror the object ..and does SU have some kind of concept like Xref ?? if yes then how to use it..

I was trying some weird stuff in which i was trying to render single line in SU & KT , but i cant see it in render.. why??
do we have to make it renderable for the render engine or some other option available for that?? like we can make spline renderable to the render engine in 3ds max..

@ Dave : Vray is really vary powerful render engine you must try hands on it.. you will get awesome results in vray.
I even use vray with 3ds max, and now i m trying it in sketch up.. its gr8... you can definitely work on animation using vray.

Has anyone tried IDX renditioner plugin..

whether this IDX Renditioner plugin works along with vray plugin.. just becoz i work on sketchup 8 and i have downloaded both vray and IDX plugin for it. vray works well but when i try to use IDX it asks me whether to disable another plugin.. may be some sort of compatibility issue will be there with both the plugins

What could be the possible problem in this case... appreciate if anyone can help me in the same..

I m using vray in SU first time, I am applying vray meterial to the objects.. just wanted to know how to give various material effects like shine, Matt finish, eitch glass effect, chrome effect, 2 sided material for cloths etc... help needed..if any tutorial pls let me know...

also i found one plug in called TECLA which i found from one of the thread in forum.. I installed it but tht is in some other language(not English may be Italian or French i don't know).. does any one have the English version of it or any manual how to use it.

For ref: it helps putting sun in arbitrary position.. so tht one can adjust light and shadows just to make the view nice..
