    • RE: FFMPEG and MAC Catalina

I followed your instructions and put the FFmpeg file in Applications folder.

Did some more research online and found these further instructions:

In the Finder on your Mac, locate the app you want to open.
Control-click the app icon, then choose Open from the shortcut menu.
      Click Open.
The app is saved as an exception to your security settings, and you can open it in the future by double-clicking it or from cli, just as you can with any authorised app.

      And now it works

    • FFMPEG and MAC Catalina

      Hi,

I upgraded to Catalina but MAC OS is preventing ffmpeg from running when I'm rendering with Animator. Any idea how to fix this?

      Thanks

    • RE: Animator Gallery

I used Animator in my latest YouTube video. See the section that starts at 0:17 seconds. It's a Timber Frame Pavilion model that I created in Sketchup and animated with Fredo's Animator plugin on my Mac. I used Final Cut Pro to add titles and to change the speed in some sections and for dissolves/fades in some places. I rendered all the sequences at 60 fps so they would be very smooth before importing into Final Cut where the video output is 24 fps. I rendered and edited everything at 4K resolution. I didn't use any rendering software as I don't think any of them support GPU rendering on a Mac.

    • RE: [Tips] Animator Tips and Tricks

I can click-drag with the left button to scroll the time. I added enough tracks to test this.

      1. No. Hovering the curser over the bar and gesturing with the magic mouse (scroll-wheel) zooms the model.

      2. No. Zooms the model

      3. With the mouse hovering over the scroll bar the time reads (for example) 25.5 s. If I press the command key the time then reads 25.50 s. And as above, mouse wheel gesture zooms model.

I hope this helps. Do you want a screen record?

Any keyboard shortcuts to zoom the timeline? Or any settings to key in a zoom value to get around this?

      Thanks
