Chris is right, use Tigs objexporter, iv done this in the past and it works just great, but be sure model your topology with tris correctly in sketchup before mapping as other 3d software will create tris in your topology, this will then mess up your mapping, Fbx will work with maya alot better than 3DS max, so there is another option, and as for game engines unity is your best option, it works well with tris, not like UDK or cryengine that require you to use quads when making models and as you know that doesn't work out so well in sketchup

Yes, you can merge/weld/glue all edges in blender, and also remove duplicate surfaces, here is a clip that i recommend watching and forward to 06:48 where blender is used to do exactly what you are trying to achieve but i recommend watching the full clip to understand how sketchups geometry differs from other applications http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rH-cTQ0dXuk Hope this helps

This is something iv being working on, all models in the ninja game are created in sketchup and imported into unity3D game engine http://sketchucation.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=333&t=47572 there's even a webplayer there for you to test out an earlier version of the game, still WIP and has come on alto better now, will be posting updates soon

It's always better to ask people for permission (although the terms of service try to imply that everything publicly shared can be re-used, modified, derivated, redistributed. Every modeler has granted these rights for other users). Next to the username is sometimes a blue envelope icon that opens a contact form. Unfortunately users can turn it off and then there is no way to contact them (except you find their username somewhere else on the internet and are sure it's the same person). Hi lockdown224, hi folks. Your blue axis is upside down. The dotted part should be pointing downward. Just ideas.

You can also try Edge Tools plugin: http://forums.sketchucation.com/viewtopic.php?t=24593 Tool there that will highlight exactly where the gaps are.
