I've Seen It around, but haven't looked into it too much, but maybe I will, now that you mention it!

I'll take a look, but I find pushpull bar hard to navigate and comprehend, that's why I like sketchucation so much more!

RE: Tutorial Maker
wow, it looks pretty good (packed with features!) , I've Tried CamStudio before which has rudimentary support for making tutorials, but I'm really enjoying wink atm, it has really small file sizes, because I think it uses flash motion tween on the mouse when it moves, instead of video, and it takes a screen shot whenever you click or something happens.

Tutorial Maker
I know someone was asking about how to make tutorials, well I found two great, free or partially free tutorial makers: Wink http://www.debugmode.com/wink/ and Screenbook http://www.screenbooks.net/ Have used screen book and found it to be really good for doing tutorials with lots of writing, but I just found wink today and it seems to have support for doing moving cursor (and a form of video capture) and interactivity like pressing button to move to the next page, (not just a video) And it lets you create your own control bars and pop up text boxes and stuff. Has anyone else used wink? or have you used some other form of tutorial software?

how does one communicate with google about these issues?

[Req] Face Stitcher
Stitcher is a good plugin, but it only seems to work on two separate faces or profiles, does anybody else think that a face stitcher would be great for something like 2 curves (that are joined at either end) that need stitching together , rather than doing it by hand, have a plugin like stitcher, probably would be very similar, but would aid modeling immensely.

Presentation Ideas
This is probably something that could belong in a few of the forum areas but I suppose this was the most relevant... If anyone thinks otherwise, just let me know and i'll move it!
I was wondering what people use for presenting their models to their clients? (Other than the obvious inclusion of renders or videos) I've been experimenting with cubic pano out plugin and stitching it into a quicktime virtual reality. I've also tried looking for and using virtual tour programs (image viewer with map on the side showing where the photo was taken and arrows in the panorama pointing to the next image or something like that).
I was also wondering whether people have also tried ways like this to improve the presentation of the model, with out actually getting the client to move in the model themselves?
Also wondering whether other people would be interested in the idea of a free or cheap plugin/program that could simplify the process of making virtual tours (with the inclusion and producing of cylindrical panoramas or cubic panoramas (I've been using hugin and pano2qtvr for stitching, but something to automate the screenshot process for cylindrical panoramas and improve on the sometimes glitchy shadow output of cubic pano out plugin) and the placement of the render/screenshot location on the map of the model?

RE: Wishlist SU 8... Let's not !
I guess it's kind of obvious, but people like you and me will stop using it and find something better if they don't fix some of these problems. I agree about the High Poly issue, and also to make things more efficient for ruby programmers, because if they fixed those two issues, things could move along nicely without worrying about google... But remus is right, sketchup needs something big to stop it becoming and artifact (" oh I remember sketchup, it was good for push and pull, and drawing lines, but development slowed, and I found some other program to model with that had what I needed) that's my opinion anyway

RE: [REQ] Advanced Custom Toolbars
I've noticed that when using some of the scf toolbars it tends to stack up more (it won't let me place other toolbars next to it) than if I just us individual toolbars for all the tools i need (smaller not bigger) is there a reason for this (a bug in the toolbar code?)

RE: Render this......!!
this is so cool! A guy I know hid gnomes all around our suburb one time (on top of traffic lights, taped onto railway boom gates, as part of a scavanger hunt, we were meant to find them all, (the funniest was sitting in the lens of the giant camera on top of kirk's camera store!)

RE: Render this......!!
hey andy, how did you do that jungle effect? photoshoping the foreground and background in from photos? or rendered plants?

RE: Idea for an active selector
I'm still looking forward to the day when someone makes a lasso select tool that only selects visible kind of like the eraser tool except lasso. (sorry if this might seem kind of off topic, but hey this could be packaged into the same kind of select tool?)

RE: Sketchup 3D
I remember having tries some books with this in it with a title: (I can't remember the other word and whether it came before or after) magick. and it formed 3d images when you stared at it and let your eyes drift apart rather than cross them. This was more relaxing to view the images than crossing, but it was harder to get the hang of. it would be really cool if you could make images like this with a plugin in sketchup...
