That's awesome, iichiversii!
I don't usually check out posts on the Wip section. I should do it more. There are lots of cool models.
I look forward to seeing more.
Best,

Hi there,
I noticed that there were no comments on my posts for weeks sometimes. I don't know if you have problems with viewing this thread (or sci-fi one).
I am aware that people brought in the issue of slow loading and Photobucket.
I have uploaded the images directly instead of pasting Photobucket links for the past few months. I hope that will solve the problem of my threads taking too much time to load or not loading at all.
If you manage to get in without problem, please let me know.
Thanks!

Hi there,
Some more concepts using the same helicopter.
Sketchup models + Lumion3D + PS
For those who play video games, these concepts are similar to the ones for FPS games like Call of duty or Battlefield.
Speaking of game, I have released my first iOS game for iPhone/iPad, using some sketchup models in there. If you have not seen it check it out:

Beautiful render, Simon.
Good day to you.

Hello everyone,
My first iOS game, Snowyville Pro (Aka Snowyville Mystery), is finally live on the App Store.
We planned on finishing it before Christmas so it could be released for the holidays but time was not on our side becauser we were only a two-person team (myself and Mr. Shi, the programmer).
I used Sketchup models (built by me or from Warehouse) and rendered them as 2D images to match with the rest of the game art assets. Below are some samples.
If you have an iPhone or an iPad, please take a look for your kids or even for yourself.
Here's the link :

Please forward this email to family and friends if you think they might be interested.
Thank you and have a wonderful day!

p.s. I have 3 promo codes to play for free for the first 3 people who reply to this email!

Multiple places, was so busy launching one of my magazines on the iPhone I havent touched 3D. However I now have everything transferred onto my PC from my Mac laptop and have THEA presto to play with so looking forward to getting back into the swing of things. I saw your character model its coming along nicely!
I am hoping to get this scene done in the next few days and then start the lighting tests.
Hi Liam,
Nice to see you're back.
I look forward to see more of your renders.
Best,

Hi Scott,
I agree with the others' feedback.
Here are my suggestions:
You doors are cool, but maybe they are too simple and have a "boring" shape/outline (simple rectangle). Try to make them more interesting by breaking the shape with angles.
Same idea for the details of the inside of the doors. Instead of being horizontal, the plating can be tilted and mixed with crazy shapes at different angles, especially if you want to convey the feeling of dark and apocalyptic (read: chaos).
The handles should follow the same design. Maybe bend them and mix them with curved or angled bars.
I have attached some samples of sci-fi doors I did in the past.
Hope these helps. I look forward to see more assets.
Cheers!

Very cool model, Bryan.
Are you planning on texturing it or dirt it up a little bit?
Have a good week!

Hi guys,
Sorry for not posting anything for a while. I have been quite busy with work and personal stuff.
I hope you all had a great holiday season so far.
It's been a long time since I have posted concepts for Simcity. So here are a few of factories that I designed.
Have a wonderful new year 2014 filled with success, love, joy, prosperity, good health, friendship and everything you wish for.
All the Best,

You saw this helicopter below. It is one of my favorites. Therefore I use it a lot in many of my visual developments. Lately I am in love with Lumion3D, that's why I use this software for pretty much all of my environmental concepts.

Beautiful render, Allan. The composition is great.
Have a great day!

Great work as always, Jean-Pierre. Thanks for sharing.
By the way, you might want to check out the link of your website, the one from your Sketchucation profile. I don't know why but when I clicked on it, I saw a Japanese website.
Good weekend!

Wow
Nice lighting. What's with the Lara Croft character?
Thanks for your comment, Adorno.
Well, about the Lara Croft character, the game was release on April 2013. I was quite impressed by the art and hope to have the chance to work on this game in the future. So I decided to to a bunch of Tomb Raider inspired art.
Here are some more. I got the Hikone Castle by Noboru from the wareshouse. It is a simple model, but it has the proportions figured out. So I used it as a template to do my high rez model.
As for the Tempio_di_Venere_e_Roma_Cella, the original model is by Saikindi from the Warehouse.
Sketchup + Lumion3D + Photoshop
Have a great day!

Elite! Always amazed at how poly-conscious you are. Limited file size without diminishing detail.
Thanks for your kind words, Jacob. Glad you like it.
Here's another of my sci-fi interior concepts.
SketchUp + Vray for SketchUp + PS
Have a good week!

Mycket vacker, Jan.
Very beautiful. I like them a lot. Did you build and light the interior lobby, or is it PS postwork?
I checked out your website. I did not expect you would do illustrations and animations, too. Very cool.
Have a great weekend!

very nice model and renders, Jacob.
What rendering engine and what modelling plugin do you use?
Thanks and have a great week!

Awesome models and renders Ken!
Thanks for your kind words, Scott.
Hello everyone,
Here's a personal piece I did a couple of years ago.
I think I posted the helicopter in my one of my older posts.
The alien UFO is a simple Sketchup model. Mountain environment in Vue and postwork in PS as usual.
I have been having fun with some police chase visual developments. Sketchup models by me, from Google warehouse, 3D models from my resource folder or Formfonts. Lumion3D for rendering and PS postwork.
Have a great week!

Hi there,
Here's something a little bit different.
I used the Sumerian City by LordGood from Google warehouse.
Sketchup + Lumion3D + Photoshop.
Have a great weekend!
