Well, i'm not hiding behind anything, actually i'm looking now at making a paypal account, i have some money, they are for college but like i said i made a mistake and i want't to fix it.
So any advice about paying online is welcomed i'm worried about security...So in half an hour you've gone from possibly getting someone else to buy it for you to being able to buy it yourself?

RE: Changing the Size/Scale of the Model
If you select all the parts of the model you want to scale and group them it should be a lot easier to scale them.
After you've grouped the parts of the model you want to resize, select one of the top corners, move it a little, then type in 3 and press enter to make the model three times bigger.

I'm sorry this is a problem,i may have did a stupid thing and i'm sorry but i was honest with you guys which i prefer to be,
That's going to cause you real problems in your life. You're already hampered in life by being really stupid. Being an honest big mouth on top of that is going to get you in big trouble.

RE: Marian's W.I.P.s
It's amazing that someone stupid enough to write what you just have can do such good Sketchup work.

RE: Do You think this is possible in sketchup
Is there a reason that animated GIFs can't be imported into SU? I'd have thought that would have been a much easier way to get "video" into SU than any other.

nope, everything was done inside Sketchup without any extras beside my plugin. the videos are running inside Sketchup and you can continue modeling (as I shown with the table) or navigate normally through your model.
Any updates over if/when your plugin is going to be made available?

Remember when people sneered at Japanese cars, digital cameras and CDs? You will have the last laugh.
But unfortunately the Japanese were of a mindset that they would continue to improve their products until they were better than the competition. Google clearly doesn't seem to think like that regarding SU.

RE: Work in progress by DWanimations
I think that's an excellent image, apart from the lake, which is terrible.
There also needs to be more variety in the garden furniture. 5 houses in the image have the same garden lounger.

RE: Wile.E.Coyote
Solo - Do you also create cartoon characters in the other 3D programs you use? If you do, what's your thoughts on using SU compared to the other programs?

Giveaway of the Day - Curvy 3D 1.5
January 16, 2009Aartform Curvy 3D is an easy and fast sculpting program for Windows. Rapidly sketch natural forms direct to 3D. Ideal for non-technical Artists. If you can sketch and paint you can use Curvy as a simple introduction to 3D modelling software.
Curvy 3D 1.5 adds new import exports for use with game design and 3D applications, as well as advanced object shaping and very easy curve editing tools to reshape existing models and refine their geometry.
Haven't downloaded it yet, and know nothing about the program. Will try it out and report back.

RE: 3D warehouse - can't use model
I assumed that the only reason some models were available in the kmz format was because the owner didn't want to share the skp file.
If someone posts the skp file then anyone can use it, edit it and pass it off as their own. If you just share the kmz file then it's made far more difficult for others to take.

RE: Can sketchup do this
Instead of using S+S and FFD to do the shape. You could also make the first shape with with the Bezierspline plugin and taper maker.
-
RE: Can sketchup do this
To do that I'd use Subdivide and Smooth and FFD. I'd then use the group as a basic template on which to draw the structure. I'd then delete the group, then use line2cyl.rb from http://www.crai.archi.fr/RubyLibraryDepot/Ruby/em_geo_page.htm .

RE: Cannot place model on the exact location inn Google Earth
You could also get the position using Google Maps rather than the Google Earth satellite imagery.

RE: My Favorite Power Tool
Awesome.
Modeling it after it's been used for six months though. If you can get that right that would be something else.
One question though.
Is the power tool like that, is it a SU flaw that you couldn't overcome or did you just overlook it? Everything else seems to be modeled to perfection so I'm not sure which it is.

Don't try to use it as a visualisation tool for architecture, as Sketchup will choke on anything more than a beautiful 3D tree you want to import.
And where would architects be without trees?
