hi guys .. nice of you all to be thinking about me. well, all three of you anyway.

sorry, I've been lurking stealthily around all my forums lately, not posting much at all.

Nice to see you again though!

I was wondering where you were hanging out Alan, the old forums seem so empty without you there.

      here's a good one!

A blonde was playing Trivial Pursuit one night. It was her turn. She rolled the dice and she landed on Science & Nature.

Her question was, "If you are in a vacuum and someone calls your name, can you hear it?"

She thought for a time and then asked, "Is it switched on or off?"

    • RE: Do we have a JOKE THREAD here? (Part 3)

      The Kidnapping

A blonde in financial trouble decided to raise money by kidnapping a child.

She went to a park, grabbed a little boy, took him behind a tree, and wrote this note: "I kidnapped your child. I'm sorry, but I need the money. Leave $10,000 in a plain brown bag behind the statue in the park by 7 a.m.. Signed, A Blonde."

She pinned the note inside the little boy's jacket and told him to go straight home.

The next morning, she returned to the park, and found a brown bag behind the statue with $10,000 in it.

Inside the bag, beside the cash, was another note: "Here's your money. I can't believe that one blonde would do this to another!"

Craig, do you know the artist's name, and is there a website showing more of his/her work?

No Way did I intend anything objectionable Juju, and I really doubt anyone would consider that picture anything but beautiful, PShopped or not.

I know you're just trying to police the forum and I respect that.

I have no idea, we don't have that type of tree around here, but it does look like a birch.

Right on Paul! That's the one.

No wonder I couldn't find it using my sharpening search terms
      "probably not gallery material"

Thanks Paul, and thanks Sawduster, thats a very handy jig. There's a sharpening discussion going on at Breaktime, and I'd like to link to that thread.

Someone (sawduster?) posted a few images of a jig to position your chisels before sharpening with a roller guide. Can anyone help me find that, a Search is turning up nothing.

    • RE: Follow Me tool not working with curve

Another tip XX is to reduce the number of segments in your arc, before you use the Follow Me.

R click the arc, choose Entity Info, and change the number of segments. I usually only use three, and after they're Softened you can't really see the segments anyway.

Glad my Av caught that before any damage was done! It does look like the site was taken down too. I was just worrying that it had somehow infected my website! Crazy world with alot of screwed up people doing things like this.

Was checking my website stats, saw that 8th entry, tysetmp3DOTcom, clicked on it, and immediately got virus warnings from my AVirus!

Why is that site listed in my stats? Is it linked to my site or anything?? Should I do anything about it???

Special Features? I just load up the model and let her rip. I haven't really explored any of the Special Features Al.

Do you have a link that would explain these special features?

I've been playing with your roof a bit, thinking of how I might build this. Boy, you don't have much headroom entering right now, 6'4"?

This would look nice, and give you some good lateral stability. Can you get some more of that slate and extend the roof out a little ways more like I show? It would look more balanced if you do.

Those curved braces are pretty easy to make if you use a bandsaw.

The two little walls need some more thought but I haven't thought up anything yet. Maybe something that looks like a English timberframe wall?
