That was exactly the problem! I scaled the CAD file and everything works. Thanks

Importing CAD in Sketchup_Broken and crooked lines
Hi, I am importing topography lines from CAD to sketchup. The lines show up crooked, they cross each other and even some do not appear. Does anyone know what is causing this? Thanks in advance for the help.

Needs help with brick material(Vray for SU)
I've got this brick materail in Vray, I added a bump (bitmap) and then chose the jpeg image. When I check the update preview I can see the result but its when I render, nothing shows up. Can someone either help me solve this problem or give me a simpler way of getting a nice realistic brick material.
Thanks in advance

Can someone help with vray for sketchup?
I'm rendering with Vray for sketchup and I've got a background with overall cloudy sky. Right now, the background doesn't really look right with the amount of light comming in the building. I need to know how to diffuse the shadow and make the whole look more realistic. SO the light shinning on the floor as to be less direct and more diffuse like on cloudy days

Needs help inserting a background??
I'm rendering a swimming pavillon that is situated of water. In the beginning, I owuld render my own water but when inserting the background I have, it doesn't look right. So then I rendered without water but noticed that when looking through the glass, I wouldn't be able to see my image behing the glass because it is an image. All I want is to have my background pic with my render , how to I combine the two?

Looking to buy a new computer, any suggestions?
Yeah, I'm an architectural student and I am looking to buy a new computer. I've already got a laptop (Lenovo T61p), suggested by the university and it doesn't work well at all. I am very disappointed by the way it runs things, it is slow for everything (sketchup, rendering, everyday use). Anyways, since I've already got a screen, I am looking to buy a computer that will run the following perfectly (autocad, sketchup, Vray, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, everyday use). I think I will look into building up a computer but I need to know what I should have as components, key hardware. I live in Québec and I plan on buying it around the area. So If anyone can give suggestions about components I should add in my computer just leave a message and I will write down the information and it will be usefull and very appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

RE: How to dim reflection in glass, able to see throught it?
Thanks both of your tips. I tried thickening the glass and it works. I can see through it, light goes through it and there still is a little bit of reflexion. I will still try your tip Max, and again thanks for the help. I often would have problems with rendering but would never think to enter a forum but hey , I'm learning to much and got lots to learn.

How to dim reflection in glass, able to see throught it?
Hi everyone, I'm rendering wiht Sketchup 7 (plug-in Vray) and I am doin an interior render. I first had a problem with the sun comming throught the glass, in sketchup it worked, but when rendering with Vray it wouldn't show. That problem is fixed but now, I' can't seem to see throught the glass material when I render and everything inside seems to reflect in the glass. My objective is to have little reflection, see well through the glass and keep the sun comming through.
Thank you
