Yeah, I am trying to stay away from girls that smoke. Two words, leather face. My last girlfriend smoked occasionally so it didn't help my quitting. It is tough, many of my friends smoke so I am around it a lot. Lots of chances to test my will power.

RE: How are the Smokers here getting on?
I smoked for 5 years, sometimes quitting for a month or so. At my worst I was at a pack of 20 a day. I smoked right through one family member's passing from lung cancer. Like many I switched to rollies for a while and started to cut back by not buying packs. I would just bum a cig off someone, very easy to do in a college town. Most of the time I was just given cigs without asking. I finally quit cold turkey after graduating university. I just passed the 6 month mark a few days ago. On a side note, has anyone tried these so called, e-cigarettes? It uses a small vaporizer that vaporizes what I assume is just flavored water to deliver nicotine. Sounds like it is just a stylized nicorette inhalator.

RE: Major problems with Layers and Podium.
I can see in your layers window that Layer 0 is turned off. What happens frequently is people have a nested component or group i.e. the component is in Layer 1 and the nested group is in Layer 0. Layer 1 is on but layer 0 is off so the group is hidden.

If you watched "Moonwalker" and saw the weird stuff he was auctioning some months ago, nothing MJ-related can surprise you.
How about when his knickers were confiscated for DNA evidence and those went up for auction on eBay? I was never able to confirm if that was true though.

Can I get the MJ face scans in .skp?
This is ridiculous if true.
Be sure to check out the creepy video as well.

RE: Change (Edge) Line Colors?
Open the styles window and select the edit tab. The icon on the far left, showing the edges of a cube will allow you to change edge properties. Color is at the bottom which can be selected via color wheel, HLS, HSB or RGB.

SSB only works with closed loops though doesn't it?
This is true. I guess I'm not quite able to visualize what you are trying to do.

RE: Assign colour picker to key
I just installed Windows 7 last week. I am not noticing a problem as you describe with the Match Color on Screen. I was able to pull colors off my desktop background and from a web page I had open.

RE: Sky background - How To?
If you drag and drop an image into SU, you need to first explode the image before it will render in Podium. You could also import the image as a texture and scale it onto a face.

Explode=Crash
I downloaded a library of .skp light components from a light manufacturer's website. I am trying to refine the components and the nesting within. The problem I am having is some of the lights crash SU when exploding. The models appear to have been converted from .dwgs. I have downloaded countless components like this and never had a problem before. Only certain models crash SU (SU 6 and 7), but the models that do cause a crash, crash SU every single time. I have also tried exploding the models on several different computers. I found somewhat of a work around, I'm just really curious why particular models are causing SU to freeze up. I'll attach a couple lights that cause problems every time I try to explode them all the way.

RE: I need the help of a Londoner

Hi James,
you might want to go to the source and check out http://www.bioresin.deBob,
Thanks. I did find the bioresin.de site earlier this week. The trouble is my Spanish doesn't help much there. However, I did read some of their product spec sheets that were in English. The spec sheets listed wildly different qualities and working conditions than those listed on the Canonbury site, which concerns me.
Someone pointed out to me that Canonbury is most likely not the manufacturer of the product I seek. If I can find a U.S. distributor, my actions will be much more sustainable (seeing as that is the whole focus of my project). From what I've turned up is that most, if not all, of the research has been done in Europe. This leads me to believe that the particular product I want is only commercially available in Europe. There are bio-plastics here, but not the kind I need.
I guess I will have to bite the bullet and just call them.

I need the help of a Londoner
I hate to have my first post be asking for help from thousands of miles away, enlisting someone I may never meet. For good karma, and in hopes someone will help me, I promise to help contribute to this forum where I can! I typically reside on the Podium Forums since I work for Cadalog, but I know a thing or two about SU. Per Stinkie's recommendation, I thought I'd try here for help too. Here we go:
I am starting my Plastics/Vehicle Engineering senior project at University. I am planning to use bio based polymers and fibers (err, fibres) to make bio-composites and run strength tests on the samples I create. The results would show if the bio-composites I create can be used in automotive and other applications, but specifically for a hybrid bus our Vehicle Research Institute was asked to manufacture.
Why I need help:
I have located a distributor of a bio based resin that I want to test because it fits all the parameters of what I need. As you may have guessed, the company is located in London. I tried finding a U.S. distributor but apparently the company I found is the only company that has what I need. That being said, I was wondering if someone could go check out the company for me. Maybe take a few pictures of the place and of their products (specifically the Biothan 2 MD 775 N Clear Casting Resin). I mostly just want to be sure this is a legitimate business and they aren't ripping me off (of course they could still be ripping me off if they do exist). I'm hoping the £40 I was quoted included the product and shipping, not £40 to ship the £30, 1kg product. So if anyone wants to check it out for me here are the details.
I was given this address in the e-mail I recieved today, However the website lists a different address http://www.canonburyarts.co.uk/about.html.Canonbury Arts Ltd.
65 Halliford Street
Islington
London
N1 3HF
Call me paranoid but I have my reasons. According to one of my professors, she wasn't aware resins like this were possible, let alone being produced. This is saying a lot since she not only keeps up with developments in polymer science around the world, but is also doing research on bio polymers.
