      Gaieus,
      Thanks again.
I was able to get a 4:3 setup (Sizer 1058x887, SU 1000x750). Which will allow me to export at 3000x2250 (for the 300 dpi letter size image I was after).
I found out my monitor is 1440 pixels x 900 pixels. So I have some constraints there.
Also, I played around with layout last night, that might be an option as well…set up a template for the various sheet sizes I need.

      Hi Gaieus,
      Thanks for your reply.
      I’m not understanding something.
You have a preset for Sizer set to 4:3?
What pixel values are you using for that?
Could this be a windows issue, it looks like you are on a mac?

    • Image size aspect ratio

      Hello,
I use a 19” wide screen monitor, SU 7pro and XP.
Is it possible to make an image 4:3 at higher than current display resolution (use view size), without cropping the length?
The problem arises for clients that print.
      I’m trying to get 7.5” x 10” at 300dpi (leaves a nice ½” whitespace all around).
With my monitor, setting the length to 3000 pixels, the height defaults to 1664. Resizing in PS: the length to 10” and the height defaults to 5.5” at 300 dpi. Which gives the ½” white space on the ends, but then 1.5” on top and bottom. (which some clients like so they can add text, others want the image a full 7.5”).
If I work the other way, in SU set the height to 2250 and let the length default. Then resize in PS 7.5” tall. I have to crop the image to get the length for 10”
Am I missing something simple or is cropping the only way?
I have the utility Sizer, which is great for export at screen resolution.
What do you do for larger size images say 18x24?.
Thanks for your comments, ideas, suggestions.

    • RE: Does anyone use Photoshop ELEMENTS for PP?

Elements works great for me. I'm using v4, can't spend the $$$ to stay current.
There are many tut's for PS, you might need to revise a few steps to use in elements.
      Also, search tutorials for elements.

      Hello,
Any one else having trouble with google maps using IE8 & XPs3?
No trouble last week, then over the weekend, I can’t zoom or see street view.
I tried the trouble shooting suggestions, but no luck.
      Thanks,

Interesting how the different the ul/dl speeds changed from server to server. Actually was faster with a server further from my location.

    • Scene exporter pro

      Hello,
I’m thinking about purchasing scene exporter pro for a current project.
      I need to export 40 to 50 scene tabs as png’s at a custom resolution of 1275 x 675.
Can scene exporter make this custom size? (standard SU is 1275 x 703)
I am also looking into a utility called sizer to set the SU window to 1275 x 675 then export at screen resolution. But I want to avoid the mess of the toolbars.
      Thank you,
      Glenn

      Gaieus,
      Good point, thank you.
I"m also looking at Sceneexporter Pro (I think by Rick Wilson?).
Do you know if that handles custom screen sizes?

    • RE: Odd image size

      CMD,
Raster, but one set needs to have the extra images SU animation makes. My client is going to handle the actual animation export (I have to set the path). He is taking the jpg/png into flash for some added features. So, I’m thinking that set will need to be exported from SU.
The other set, layout would work. There was another thread I had about background transparency. The main problem, for me, to use LO, is there are 42 scenes. So I would still need to process each scene in layout or manually create a page for each scene. So, at this time, I’m cutting the background in PS.
Sizer looks like it will be very helpful, so I don’t have to manually drag the screen around.
Thanks for the reply & LO file.

I would like to have a page automatically generated for each scene tab (or even an option to select which ones, maybe a switch in SU).

With the latest maintenance release, I seem to be getting alot of " something in your model is broken" messages when I save. So far, SU has fixed them.

    • Odd image size

      Hello,
      I have a client that needs exports at 1275 x 675.
      My screen ratio gives 1275 x 703.
There are 42 scene tabs for one set, and an animation for another set.
My client came up with one solution: make the SU window size to 1275 x 675, then use “export at screen size”.
      Any other ideas?
      Thank you,
      Glenn
