The Edith Piaf sample works extremely well here.
"Here"?
You mean in Cape Town?
BTW, I spent 6 years in SA as a teenager.
I matriculated in Jo'burg. (1976)

I put together a little clip that I've got on my web site that shows a few images of the pieces I'd made for the chocolate shop. They're still working on the decor so I couldn't realy get good pictures but I wanted to have something on my site that tells the story. The clip is part of a whole article about the design idea (he wanted the place to look like a small shop in Paris, in one of the side streets near the Champs Elysees, if you happened to be strolling there about 100 years ago.
Disregard the Hebrew text.
This is where you can see it on You Tube:

this is a nice contemporary piece of furniture! any ideas on who manufactures them???
thanks and merry Xmas!
Sorry, I have no idea who manufactures them.
A very happy Christmas to you all.
My cousine runs a cafe in Brussels and during a recent visit he showed me pictures of it. I liked the table and chairs sets he has there and I thought it might come in handy as a model.
Thank you Tom.
Beautiful work, beautiful modeling concept.
Why am I not surprised?
Ah! Eric my boy! You've done it again.
Many thanks.
Urgen hi,
I wish I had a photo of it but I don't.
I modeled it from memory.
I saw a beautiful lamp a while ago at a friends house that was made of bent wicker frames conected by stiff wire with rice paper stretched over it. It stood over 2 meters tall and gave off a wonderful soft light. You just couldn't take your eyes off of it.
I tried to make a simple model of it. I'm sure if one of the rendering wizards got his hands on it he could make it into a decent model.
Anybody care to give it a shot?
you can find the model on the warehouse:

I thought I'd post some pictures of a small study I'm planning for a close friend. I think the book components really enhance the look of the model.
My grandmother used to say:
"You can tell a lot about a person by how many books he has".
So now you can all make my grandmother very happy
All the best.
I thought I'd go ahead and make some more versions of the books component so that a library would look more interesting.
Nice one Anssi.
What I was trying for with my component was to have a few books all together, like a set of encyclopedias.
I put the bookcase itself up on the warehouse if anyone needs it.
I should probably put the books component there too, right?
Oooops! Sorry, forgot to attach the books component
