Nice. One thing I DO like about it is........it's simple. By simple I mean not a whole lot of objects, patterns and stuff. Making it cluttered. Keep it coming.

Bedroom ReDo
Hi people :
Your guess is as good as mine. Private bedroom or Hotel Bedroom ? After rendering it, it came out kinda retro looking. garystan

Hi everybody :
When using SANDBOX /FROM SCRATCH, how do I adjust the distance between lines. In Sketchup 8, looks like the default is 10 feet. Question : wouldn't a smaller distance allow for a smoother terrain ? garystan
After selecting From Scratch, keyin the desired cell size then define the grid. Certainly smaller would mean smoother. Just means a lot more edges and faces to deal with.
sdmitch :
Okay.....I see what you mean, I selected Sandbox / From Scratch. Then...BEFORE......drawing out the "perimeter".....type in the 5' (instead of the default 10'). But, make sure you press ENTER **before** you do the layout. Thanks for your help. garystan

RE: [Plugin][$] 3D Tree Maker - New version 1.10.14
Hi everybody :
Too bad there wasn't a version for Sketchup 8. I would upgrade.....but Sketchup Pro is $700. Right now, money is tight. garystan

3D Vegetation
Hi everybody :
Where can I download 3D tress or bushes that would be compatible with Sketchup 8 ? I looked at 3D Warehouse, but I have to have Sketchup Pro (which costs $700). And most sites have 3D bushes and trees, but they're in .rar format.garystan

I don't do much. I am busy using SU for construction drawings. Wish I had more time as it takes me a long time whenever I try rendering. Very rarely get into interior work.
pbacot :
That's understandable (your time is spent doing layouts for construction). Hey....you have a job......are working. THAT'S a good thing.

Between shadow and light. New 3D. I'm practicing my outdoor scenes and lighting. I purposely put the subject between the light and shadow. I like the shadow on her sweater.
Person, trees and rocks are from the SketchUp 3D Warehouse. I made the ground and the grass and then arranged the imported models. Rendered with Raylectron. Depth of field used and exposure set to 0.07.
Crashed my laptop 4 time building the scene. Took me 7 hours to build and final render. 4 hours to build, 3 hours to set the final render, and 40 minutes to complete the render.
I learned a lot of news trick today. But man this put the whammy on my laptop. I have to reboot after this post.
Used Make Fur's, Make Crowd for the trees and Make Fur for the grass. Skatter still not working for me.
Brian K :
Nice peaceful scene. I like it.

This has been in my computer for quite a long time now. It was modeled starting from the real thing. I decided to try a couple of shots after a pretty quick set-up.
Sketchup + Thea + a slight touch of pp with Arionfx.
