@Anton_S Of course. The file ending with ".scflicense" is correct. I deleted the file from my computer.
And I downloaded the attached file from the mail again. The file was run by pressing the Validate License button but is not valid
Could you please try to erase the file
C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\SCF Licenses\SCFLicenseSignature - DO NOT MODIFY OR DELETE.txt
and then re-try the activation? If fails again please PM me this file for further analysis. -
RE: [Plugin] ClothWorks v1.8.0 - 28 Apr 2024
Hello 1852sketch,
I confirm that you've purchased ClothWorks. Our system sent out the license at time of the purchase by email. I've re-sent you your purchased ClothWorks license now. The email address you gave at the purchase and your email address what is registered here are different. Now I've sent the license to both email addresses. I hope you'll receive it this time.
Thank you for your purchase.

RE: Component definition has TWO names ???
I don't have the answer as I'm not a SketchUp guru. But I have a layman's question: How did you achieve this "double name"? Could you please attach an .skp with such a component definition in it or describe how to create one?

RE: Sketchucation | Purchased files not received
Hi Lionheart1985,
Sorry for the long delay and thank you for everybody who helped to solve the case. Now I've sent an email with the download link for the product to both of your email addresses (the one what is registered and the one what you used at the purchase). Please let me know if you still have any troubles downloading the file.

RE: Why separate log-in for PluginStore?
@rv1974 said:
....If I already signed in to forum why do we need an extra authorization?.....
I suppose you are asking about the pluginstore at the website not the pluginstore plugin. In this case the reason is:
The sketchucation site uses PhpBB engine for the forums and Joomla CMS for all the other content including the pluginstore. They are bridged together so when you log in to one of them you're also logged in to the other one as well. A major factor for the performance of the Joomla side is the number of simultaneously logged in people. The more people are logged in at the same time the slower the Joomla part of the site becomes.
This slowdown is especially significant in case of more than about 50 000 simultaneously logged in users. To prevent this from happening we set a 6 hours timeout at the Joomla part of the site. It means that if you weren't active at the Joomla part for 6 hours you'll be automatically logged out from it while still logged in to PhpBB (forums). We'll try to find a solution for this at the new version of the site (under development). Until then when you remain inactive at the Joomla side of the site for more than 6 hours you need to log in again.
I hope the above answers your question.

RE: Pasting into the ruby console
Thank you for the TextEdit file. I could reproduce it on PC by opening your .rtf file in Wordpad and copy/pasting the code into the Ruby console. It is weird.
After it I've copy/pasted the code into a Notepad++ document both from the forums and from wordpad, the two codes visually looked exactly the same. Though if I copy the code to SketchUp from that notepad++ document what was copied from the forums it runs without any problems but if I copy it from the document copied from the wordpad it shows the same error you referred to. Weird.
After it I saved both notepad++ files and surprise! They had different sizes though they visually looked exactly the same.
I opened these saved files in hexeditor and I saw that the one copied from TextEdit represents the space characters at the beginning of the line with 3 characters (C2 A0 20) while the one copied from the forums represents them only with character hex 20. This suggests some character encoding issue what might be the cause of the problem. Does TextEdit has an option to set the character encoding? Can you set it to ASCII and try it again?
I'm not sure if this is the reason but this is the only difference what I could identify between the 2 copies....

I can paste code that is from this forum into the ruby console and it works. But if I paste into TextEdit doc and then copy that into the ruby console it doesn't.
Could you please attach the "TextEdit doc" as well? For those who doesn't have a MAC therefore can't replicate the phenomena.

As the anti-virus was appeared as soon the Forum https://sketchucation.com/forums you don't think that the "malicious" could't be on one of the numerous Publicities ?
Do you refer to the site ads as "Publicities"? For the ads we use a 3rd party ad provider (BySellAds). In theory it is possible that if their server was infected it had an effect on us as well. But they are a very well established and maintained ad providing service so I doubt if it was a problem on their side.

RE: Trojan warning
I've scanned the server with several malware scanners and none of them find any malicious code.

Technical Support EngineerI keep an eye on things but until now I haven't find any indication on our side of any malware.
@dtrarch: Could you please tell in detail which virus scanner reported the problem to you? Which page of the sketchucation site did you browse when it happened?

RE: Trojan warning
Anyhow I've reported Bitdefender customer care the issue and waiting for their answer.

RE: Trojan warning
My I ask the time of your last update of Bitdefender? (At the notifications section of bitdefender you can see the time of the last update)

RE: Trojan warning
Is the problem still exists? I use bitdefender as well and it happened before that because of an errorous upgrade to bitdefender I got such a false indication. But the problem was fixed as soon as I manually force updated bitdefender. Have you tried this?

RE: SketchUcation ideas
I think this one is solved. Now the Joomla login modal takes into account the query part of the URL so after login you should land at the pluginstore item where you were before. Also increased the Joomla timeout from 3 hours to 5 hours so hopefully it won't be so often the Joomla session to time out while the PhpBB session is still active.
-
RE: SketchUcation ideas
Thank you for the replies. Now I see the problem. The ...?pln=xxxx.... part of the URL is not taken into account after the login. So after logging in you get back to the main pluginstore page. I'll take a look into it and see if I can modify the login redirect to take into account the URL's query part as well. Will let you know about the result.

RE: SketchUcation ideas
Hi Pbacot,
Thank you for the ideas. We are working on a major update for both the site and the extension store plugin so we'll take into account your suggestions during the upgrades. Though I have some thoughts about your last suggestion:
@pbacot said:
SketchUcation Plugin downloads (from website).
I get to the plugin page and I must login (though I think I am logged in) to get the plugin. After login I end up at some other page and must navigate back to the plugin page again.
This is because the forums and the main site including the web based pluginstore page are 2 different software. The forums are under PhpBB and the Pluginstore is managed by Jooma. Sometimes it happens when you are active in PhpBB, Joomla times out your login session. We've tried to fine-tune this timeout interval in the past but sometimes it still might log you out.
Though when you log in to joomla you're supposed to get back to the page where you were before the log in. So when I go to https://sketchucation.com/pluginstore and I log in there I stay on that page after the log in. Could you please describe in more detail how do you log in and what other page do you end up with after the login?

Same error
But i cannot locate the file on Macbook Pro, Mac OS Mojave, Sketchup Pro 2019
In case of windows it is at
C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\SCF Licenses\SCFLicenseSignature - DO NOT MODIFY OR DELETE.txt
so in case of MAC it should be somewhere under~/Library/Application Support
I suppose but I do not have a MAC so it would be nice if a MAC user could conform it. -
RE: Notifications-not.
Hi Baz,
Thank you for the detailed description. ow I've checked our forum's error logs and the last mail sending error occurred last year in August. I'll watch the mail sending for a few days to see if I can find any flaws in it or not.
Does anybody else has this problem?
