Along time ago someone posted a list of 2d blueprint symbols and appliances. I lost the file with a crash. Where can I find it?

RE: Minimum internal radius cutting bit for ply
Feed rate and cut depth are what is important. It they feed rate is slowed a smaller diameter is possible.

RE: 20 Reasons for SketchUp artists to consider Blender
Blender looks good BUT there doesn't seem to be a way to convert to quads that can be imported to Solidworks

RE: Hot wire foam cutting - Anyone?
The problem you will have that we couldn't overcome, was that the longer the wire the more it stretched as it got hot and sagged too much to be accurate. If you tighten it to much the heat caused the tinsel strength to drop and it would snap. Good luck!!

RE: Any smokers here? Wanna quit?
Has anyone used/tried the nicotine salts instead of the standard nicotine liquid?

Why SAS? But even then... where is the problem to boot from a M.2 drive? You would need an external SAS controller anyway with this board. I think i still don't get it.
When I start a project I plan everything out. I put together the plan then built it. I couldn't afford to build it all at one time. I spent 4 months collecting parts, before the build At the time of my "planing" this is what I saw:
"SSD drives offer the best experience when they are used as the root or boot drive. The problem is that the existing Windows software has an issue with many drives booting from the PCI-Express bus rather than from SATA. This means that having an M.2 drive using PCI-Express while fast won't be the primary drive where the operating system or programs are installed. The result is a fast data drive but not the boot drive."
You have to remember that I'm old, self taught, and what I deal with normally is wood

I don't understand... why would you need a modified BIOS and custom drivers?
When I was looking, most of the larger drives were server based, and would not boot from them, or I had to buy an adapter - a spine. What ever. I wanted simplicity. Later I might go SAS and my drive would still work. What else would you do?

RE: Is a GPU upgrade worth it?
Do you have room for 2 GPUs? If you do then I would go with a EVGA GeForce GTX 1080 Ti FTW3 GAMING, 11GB GDDR5X, made to run in dual mode later on (when you need another upgrade

Sorry, but why a SATA-SSD?
It came down to a choice between SATA III standard and backup solutions or modifying bios and using custom drivers....

3D Scan of interiors
Has anyone checked this out? I downloaded one of their example files in .SKP It looked pretty good.

It is an independant program for Structure senor https://structure.io/ Don't like the $30 per scan, but it could be worth the time savings. -
RE: New build
I just wanted one last super build. Getting to old to worry. And yes I do a lot of gaming but I find that a gaming computer is great for rendering.

New build
Just finished the last of it. Here is what I have....
Started off with a Corsair Graphite Series 780T Full Tower PC Case β Black. Put in a Corsair CP-9020140-NA HX1200 1200W 80 Plus Platinum High Performance Power Supply. Then for my MOBO went with the ASRock X299 GAMING K6 Fatal1ty LGA 2066 Intel X299 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.1 USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard. Followed with a Intel Core i7-7820X Processor (I didnβt think the extra 500 bucks was worth the upgrade. Then to cool it I went with Corsair Hydro Series H115i Extreme Performance Liquid CPU Cooler , Black. For the RAM I started with CORSAIR DOMINATOR Platinum Series 32GB (2 x 16GB) DDR4 DRAM 3000MHz C15 memory kit (CMD32GX4M2B3000C15) of witch I can fill 6 more slots later. For my Vid Card I went with 2 each EVGA GeForce GTX 1080 Ti FTW3 GAMING, 11GB GDDR5X, iCX Technology - 9 Thermal Sensors & RGB LED G/P/M, 3x Async Fan Control, Optimized Airflow Design Graphics Card 11G-P4-6696-KR in SLI and of course Corsair K55 Gamming keyboard and mouse with RBG programmable and for total flight control two Guillemot Thrustmaster T.16000M Fcs Joysticks And donβt want forget my memory, Samsung 850 EVO 500GB 2.5-Inch SATA III Internal SSD (MZ-75E500B/AM) for my operating system Windows 10, and two Western Digital 1T drives for memory. The monitor is an ASER P8278 LCD. And I went with the Occulas VR just because
Think Iβm a fan of Corsair? And I can expand and upgrade! -
Any Architects in Idaho?
Looking to move there don't have time to drive back and forth, draw plans etc. Need someone to take my rough ideas and go with it.

RE: USB Slot Question
I know it's not funny but try going end for end on your USB cord. Had that happen to me

RE: Where have all the Sketchers gone?
I haven't been in, in months, my fault. I retired, got bored, started something new ended up working more, not liking that, built a new computer and got into VR. Now I'm pissed with California so I am moving to Idaho, where SANE people live.

Anyone ever used this?
http://liteform.com/ Looks interesting. Thinking of moving out of state and building a house, with a game room/ "man cave" basement.
