If you are talking about rectangular beginning shape I still think Tig Extrude along path is a good option, there's no push pull involved, except for openings: Tools on surface + joint push pull. Nice looking work Kris!

@bryan k said: Did you use a plug-in to create the roof and if so, which one? Love the design! Yes I did use three plugins called fredoScale, Fredo joint push pull and the Tigs extrude tools and toolsOnSurface plugin, I use them a lot. I am going to get Artisan and the vertex tool so I can create even better organic roof and wall shapes. Thanks for liking the design.

@nickchun said: Wow! Thats one big project.Fantastic space. Reminds me of a James Bond set. How long did it take you? James Bound! haha even James Coburn In like Flint hahah Its been an ongoing project for about 5 months, maybe six now, working during off days from work and any available free time I could find. I really enjoyed creating it. This house started as a sketch of some roof shapes like looking down from the sky at a houses roof, then I found out about Sketchup, and set out to find out if curvy organic roves could be created with it, and some good people here directed me to the right plug-ins that made it all happen. I just never thought it would look like it does haha. Thanks to the ease of SketchUp and the real-time rendering of Lumion is why it looks the way it does, thanks to some objects by some of the awesome modelers on the 3D Warehouse. (I LOVE LUMION!!) I'm already working on the next home, surprisingly its a simple gable design, I just wanted to do one because I will probably never do one again haha. but at the same time I'm working on a minimal design which is totally different in feel and appearance from this home. Thanks for the comment.

UPDATE! I want to thank the Sketchucation website for a place for sketchup users to come together and share knowledge on many aspect of sketchup. I have always loved organic architecture like what Zaha Hadid, Frank Gehry, and Guy Dreier create. I would always imagine houses in a way that I don't see much of, and would make sketches of what I would see in my minds eyes but I was limited in what I could draw. Before I found out about sketchup three months ago my ideas were only in my head and some on paper, but now its like I have been given the keys to get them out in a way I never thought possible. So I want give a special thanks to Tigs and Cotty for pointing me in the right direction, the video by cotty helped a lot and the tools recommended by Tigs were the right tools. Thanks I have added some pictures of my test project house I call the Modern Bungalow I designed using the extrude tool, fredo scale, joint push pull and Kerkythea to render it. I also found a lot of new textures. Thanks Again. I am so excited about skectup and what it has allowed me envision Aaron [image: 4Sw1_back1.jpg] [image: kOux_back2.jpg] [image: Ytva_back3.jpg] [image: 7hyM_interior1.jpg]
