Hello, would anyone know why I'm getting grey bars across my image when I export it as a 2d graphic image and save it as png file?

Hello, Would anyone know how I can render an object (like a chair) on a transparent background and also keep the shadows as if there was a ground plane? I have managed to render the chair with a transparent background but can't figure out how to keep the shadows as well!

Hello all,

I'm trying to render a fairly simple bedroom with vray (2.0) to which I haven't yet managed to render yet in hi-res, only on the test setting! today is the furthest I've got (pre pass 3 of 4) then I got this message for the first time "Run time error" (R6025 - pure virtual function call).

I'm at a total loss! Would be very grateful if anyone would be able to help me in trying to resolve these couple of issues.

Just un-installed everything and installed as you said by running as administrator and this worked!

Tried to download an extension and still got the error message! but you said this was two issues, one down and one to go! Thanks for your help with this Tig.

Hi Tig, the Extensions Loading Policy is set to Unrestricted but I can't find the ruby console option. Went to the windows menu in sketchup but nothing there!

I have tried to un-install and reinstall but that didn't work!

Not sure if this has anything to do with as well but can't load any plugins. Tried to enable some extensions via the preference's but can't seem to activate any, also can't load vray!

The second option, how do I go about this? sorry, my knowledge on computers is very basic!

Hi All,

I keep getting an error message when trying to download extensions from the warehouse! Really frustrating and I think I've exhausted all the options to try to rectify this.

Also not sure if this is related or not but also get error messages when starting up Sketchup!

I've attached snap shots of both error messages. If anyone can help I will be eternally grateful.

Hi All,

Would any body know why all my skp files are not able to be viewed as thumbnails?
I have the correct setting on the task bar "Thumbnails" but this doesn't seem to work!
This all happened when I downloaded the new version of sketchup8!

Does anyone know of a setting I have to set so I'm able to see these skp files as thumbnails?

Hi, Would anybody be able to give me any pointers on how to draw a canopy?
I have attached an skp file of the canopy top I'm trying to draw, I can draw the out line ok but I can't seem to be able to create a flowing material face (if that makes sense!). I've tryed using the contours tool but this creates un-even surfaces.

It also needs to be hollow!!!!
