This looks great and will certainly speed up a ,lot of modeling.
My boss must never find out about it because my deadlines might be shorten by half

RE: [Plugin] UVTools v0.1
Yes you are quite correct. Once the texture is applied correctly ,you can scale the object back down
-
RE: [Plugin] UVTools v0.1
i made the object 10 times bigger and the UV is much better

RE: [Plugin] UVTools v0.1
I gave the UV tool a try and it works ok but i am getting some weird issues.
See attached, any ideas why it is doing that ?

RE: [Plugin] Skin.rb
Hi it is working for me fine. I am finding it a bit inconsistent when i give more than two
profiles to "Skin". It usually gets it right at the end after asking "is the connection done right"?
but if i undo i notice that it does it in stages, two profiles at a time.
That is ok but is it possible to have it do the whole "skin" as one operation if you have selected more than two profiles, instead of being asked to confirm each step? Please see attached. That would be great

RE: Got a project wonder if its possible to make a 3D skin?
This a perfect example for the use of lofted shapes.
have a look under * Ruby Discussions i have requested a loft script. -
RE: [Req] Curve Divider
Yes please, curve divider would be very helpful. If it could work like the divide line that would be great. I often need to construct very complicated curved ramps so being able to divide the curves that define the ramp equally would be nice so that the ramp climbs smoothly.

RE: Windowizer
I vote for "doorizer" too, it would be great to have some parametric functionality as well

RE: [Req] Loft
Yes i know that there are a couple of scripts that do similar stuff but
we do need proper loft functionality. It is a fundamental 3D modeling concept
that is present in all the big packages, 3dmax, C4d, Maya, FormZ etc. Sketchup needs it a LOFT tool
It would enhance Sketchup modeling capabilities greatly. -
[Req] Loft
I have been waiting for this for a few years now. Any chance we can get this anytime soon
I believe RickW was working on it at some point in time but have not heard or seen anything in a very long time. Obviously first price is for this to be real time, ie if you move one of the profiles the lofted shape should followThanks

RE: EPS import into Layout
Thanks for the info. I mainly use Sketchup at the office and that is in Windows. I will play around with the PDF import in OSX at home

EPS import into Layout
Hi guys
I alternate between Indesign and Layout to for design presentation layouts.
I would use Layout more if could bring my CAD drawings to scale using the EPS format.
I can do that perfectly in Indesign and the scale remains accurate. I would really like this
functionality in layout.
So in short i want to see Layout be able to import EPS files -
RE: MAC questions (SU related)
Hi there
I just want to point something out regarding your post. You say ..
" I am looking for recommendations for a renderer. I would love to use Vray as I know it best of anyones I have tried but currently it is not available for MAC. "
Well that is not true. Vray is available for MAC through the vraybridge for Cinema 4D.
take a look http://www.vrayforc4d.com/
I find that i can very succesfuly export models from Sketchup into Cinema 4D by using 3DS.Hope this helps

RE: [Plugin] Skin.rb
This is the closest thing to a Loft script for which i have been making requests for years.
Thanks Architectboy for all your hard work. Are there any new developments this year around your Skin.rb ? This has a lot of potential
