      TIG,
Thank you for the "clever plugin".

I can not find a reference to the plugin other than in
SketchUcation Plugins Manager and in the "Plugins" folder.

How would I "easily" check on which version I am running in the future?

All the best for the New Year!

Using Windows 7 with Google Chrome.
      SketchUp 2016

      As you noted:

      • export worked best with "Split Files"
      • export textures best with "To_JS_file"

I exported a long narrow building and it took some time
to navigate around it using the keys.
The location of the ORIGIN is important, I changed mine to help navigation.

I think the scenes might help navigate,I have not tried these yet.

A good result for first version. Textures look good.
I think a feature that aids navigating the model might help

Thank you T2H for your efforts in producing this plugin.

In Victoria Australia there are several sources that should be the
      same as NZ.

      One Example is noted below,
      Refer to p 10 - p 13 in the pdf document:

      Wood Products Victoria (WPV)
The goal of Wood Products Victoria (WPV) is to ensure that sustainable timber and wood products grown, harvested, processed, manufactured or sold within Victoria or by Victorian-based businesses are supported by:

      › informed research
      › credible technical publications
      › comprehensive customer information, and
› positive product and market development.
Wood Products Victoria Ltd was established in June 2006.

The Board of Directors includes representatives of timber growers, manufacturers, distributors and retailers who wish to ensure the ongoing viability of this sustainable, natural building resource.

My understanding is V-Ray is a rendering software program similar to Thea Render.

Thea Render integrates with a number of modelling programs (as does V-Ray).
This of current plugins in modelling programs by Thea is noted on their website:

St. Mary update 20 June 2015

The external model of St. Mary Star of the Sea has been completed
by the dedication of David Asher of Windsor Ontario, Canada.

A SketchFab "entry Section" can be viewed at:

      https://sketchfab.com/models/edd4a8b4606345fda672013f9cad50b5

The materials and white lines are not what we want but at present I am
not sure of how to improve of the original SketchUp model

We are currently working on preparing "audio clips" that can be integrated into
the St. Mary 3d Virtual Model shown in SketchFab. This has been aided by the
generous donation of a Nagra-Pico by Nagra.

      http://www.nagraaudio.com/nagra-pico/

Our marketing stragegy for generating donations for the Restoration works at St. Mary Star of the Sea are:

        a. Complete a good 3d model on SketchFab that will lend itself to VR (virtual reality) cardboard viewers.

        b. Have a liminted number of "audio clips" (eg. Entry doors, Stained glass on Entry Elevation,
and North Elevation - the renovated elevations that have street views.)

        c. Have some test "coffee chats" at Josies on Wednesday (good backroom) or in
in the Crypt under St. Mary. These sessions would demonstrate the use
SketchUp on a laptop and SketchFab VR on an i-phone.

        d. Once the "bugs" have been ironed out and delivery is "smooth"
we hope to get local newspaper and radio spots to discuss the project.

Thank you everyone to date for your comments and suggestions.

      T2H,
Great plugin, keep up the good work!

      V2.1.0 - Question ??
      I am using Skp 2014, W7, 32bit

      1. I note that I can only get the "Draw by click" to work in the SMALL - simple window of
the Toggle_UI. I find in the SMALL UI it is hard to read the data due to the small text size.
The LARGER UI is easier for me to read. Can this be achieved?

      2. Is the new STEEL BEAM (ref attachment) data saved for latter use?
I can not find my new STEEL BEAM in the data.

      Thanks again,
      Ray

West elevation photos have also been uploaded to the Dropbox, this completes the
full interior and external photographic overview. Photos of church details will
be taken and uploaded as the model evolves.

The church had full dwg drawings including sections undertaken in the past using
photogrammetrics. As soon as the full set of drawings have been received they will be updated
      to the DropBox.

Note the dwg elevation drawings are accurate and have precedence over the
drawn plan. The plan was prepared independently of the photogrammetric process by the architects.

      Just too much fun!!!

      Dave,
Some of you are getting ahead the rest of us but I have to agree it is "fun" to see the building rise up. Like the great church builders of the middle ages found a good result takes time.

I have upload extensive photos of the South Elevation Gr Floor level which is my primary focus.
This is the elevation that will be the next phase of the stone restoration work.
Currently the church is raising funds for this stage and I am hoping to use the
SketchUp model to assist in this fund raising endeavor.

(note the estimate of $1500 - $2500 approx (Aust) per sq. metre for straight walling - expensive due to the detail of the work plus factors as scaffolding, hoists etc.)

FOLDER: St. Mary pics - Elevation South Gr Fl
These will be followed with the Top level photos of the windows.

I should clarify that I am receiving no commercial remuneration from this exercise.
I am not a Christian and have no direct relation with the church. My office is
5 minutes walking distance away. For the past 20 years I have "used" their church
as my private meditation hall. I pick the right times when it is almost empty and hence perfect for contemplation and I know of no other building as calm and refreshing.

They have an "enormous task" ahead of them so I thought I would give a little back.
If the SketchUp model can assist their efforts I will be satisfied.
I appreciate the assistance being offered by the SkethUcation community and I am interested to see where this "journey" will lead. I should also confess that I am a Canadian, not an Aussie.

      Cheers,
      Ray

      Hi facer,

I imported the CAD drawing, cleaned up and made faces. That should be the first step.

      Charly

Good to see you are "keen to go". Before anyone goes any further please wait until I
tidy up the plan a little. Nothing too major but it will reflect the current layout.
I am now in the process of:

      1. removing confessionals that are not in use
      2. updating the furniture layout
      3. adding the new glass entry wall
      4. setting out a logical grid for reference.

When I complete the first two items above I will update the DropBox SketchUp plan
and also post to the forum.

Charly would it not be better to keep all the plans in one location as the Dropbox.
I can see the advantage of posting to the forum as it gives a "window" into the process.
I think your process is a good one as it enrolls and motivates SketchUcation members to get
      involved.

I think it best in future that I first receive a copy of the plan or assembly first and
then OK it for issue. This will ensure that everyone is "singing from the same page".

Good work, thank you for your effort.
