For Backups: I'll keep Backblaze, thanks. It's just $50/year for unlimited storage and I can login to my account from anywhere in the world to download my files.
And how is Google Drive's document collaboration feature different from Google Docs?

Yeah, my clients, friends and even architects have been very impressed with my Lumion images and animations. They say they look "more real" than the ones I've made with other render programs, despite the fact that Lumion is not physically-based... so it's actually the fakest.
While working with Lumion, put some game music in the background and suddenly work becomes epic.
If you have problems with some parts not appearing, explode them in SketchUp and maybe re-group them before re-exporting.
Thanks, Pilou.
I can't really present myself professionally with their logo in the bottom of each page, however.
I'll give it a try and if it does make my life simpler than WP + BlueHost, then it's worth the extra cost.
Thanks everyone.
Kim and Csaba, I'm also researching into options for having multilingual WordPress. For SEO optimization it will have to follow Google's guidelines for multilingual sites: http://support.google.com/webmasters/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=182192#1
I'm also leaning towards one of WordPress' recommended hosting services, like BlueHost, if I follow the WP route.
Pilou: That sounds like a refreshingly simple solution! Hopefully the paid version won't be more expensive than BlueHost. I can't find the prices.
UPDATE: I found the prices. I see that simplicity does come with a higher cost.
Thanks for the tip, Csaba.
It would be really cool to have both English and Spanish without having to install the CMS twice in different folders, but if that's not available, I'll go Spanish-only. Right now I'm focusing on getting clients in my own city, which has lots, and I mean lots, of construction projects going on. Last week there was a trade show where I made lots of contacts in the big building companies.
I'll check out paid WP themes. The one I used before was way too complicated for my taste... I mean, the default settings produced a site way too cluttered with stuff.
Last time I built my site I used hosting24 with Wordpress. Wordpress was too time-consuming to get the way I wanted it, and hosting24 got hacked and my site was replaced with an ugly picture. They had no automatic backup system, despite what they say...
So, I'm open to suggestions. All I need is a site to place links to my Facebook fan page, my contact info, and of course embed HD YouTube videos of my work, so the CMS should not be too complicated or have too many options.
Looks like a good start. I'm an architect and I've been doing archviz for some time, but I'm still no expert. However, I did find some very good advice online that I'd like to share with you:
10 things youβve got to do to improve your archviz work
Oh, and give Lumion a try. It's king when you need lots of vegetation, and it pays for itself with only one animation you make for a client. Nice to see someone trying Maxwell, as I'm also interested in it. Did you use the SketchUp-integrated version?
About "Mystery Meat Navigation"... it's a delicate balance. For example, you can either have named icons for all options and have Form-Z, or you can make some of those options "hidden", accessible only via keyboard shortcuts, and have SketchUp.
Reply to the OP:
A good UI for you is the one that seems designed by someone whose way of thinking is similar to yours.
I remember being taught classifications in philosophy class in high school, but my way of classifying things was always different from the teacher's.
Thank you a lot, Jace.
This is Jeff and me now:
Thanks for your answers.
And, regarding archviz, how do you make sure you will get paid?
Do you place some text or watermark on the images/videos?
Just wondering how much you guys ask to be paid before starting work.
I solved it by just copying to a new file. Weird.
I'm sure this is very simple... almost newbie forum material.
Sometimes, when I open a file made in SU 6.0, its textures do not display antialiased, no matter what settings I use in Window > Preferences > OpenGL. Any ideas?
I can confirm that the latest version of Copy Along Path in SU 8 Free correctly rotates each component according to the path. I guess you're gonna render in something that allows the use of instances, Pete?
If this is a duplicate please merge with the relevant thread. I searched but found nothing.

These guys are marketing this towards archviz. They have implemented NVIDIA Optix to enable things like raytraced AO, and NVIDIA Physix to create stuff like table cloth.
Downloading the demo right now. It imports Collada, so should be relatively easy to set up a scene. I hope it has a "reload" function, however.

Reseller or not, is it true what they say? That "due to Chaos Group geographical restrictions", V-ray for SU is now not sold in Ecuador?
Cool. I want to have around 50 made... No hurry, so there's time to carefully consider options. The only condition is that it must be a US-based company to simplify the shipping to my country.
It would be really cool to have these options:
-Have an un-deletable file preloaded on each USB drive, but allow the rest of the space to be used however you want.
-Clamshell packaging with a custom full-color insert
Hi, Mike. I'm looking specifically for companies that offer to laser-engrave your info on each drive. Already found a few, but want to know recommendations from forum members.
