Granted, but while invisible everyone thnks you are gone, then you hear what they REALLY think about you.

I wish my car would run forever without any maintenance.

Granted. But when Hugh Hefner releases SU 6.9 (see baz's post above), SU will have new interface and commands, making your skills obsolete.

I wish I could come up with a clever wish.

Granted, but it is from the University of Antarctica, which is in one of my Dr. Suess buildings and isn't accredited.

I wish there really was such a thing as a holodeck, and I could hook SU to it.

Granted. Congratulations, you are now in the Guiness Book of World Records for having the World's dirtiest truck.

I wish I would win all the world-wide architectural awards for my "poetic and inspiring" Doctor Suess architecture in Antarctica.

"Vee have wayz of making little boyz comply", at the same time making snipping gesture with here fingers in the direction of his groin.

Kevin the Office Tea Boy (whatever that is) stared at her blankly, the meaning of the gesture lost to him.

While Kevin the Office Tea Boy (whatever that is) was pondering these things, a bird alighted on the ledge. Forever saddled with a morbid fear of birds ever since the infamous and embarrassing chicken farm incident, Kevin the Office Tea Boy (whatever that is) screamed like a little girl and gave a jump. Unfortunately, being on a ledge, there was nothing else to jump onto. Had this been a cartoon (and who's to say it isn't), one would have seen the comical yet resigned look on our hero's face as he floated there in space for a second before gravity overcame him and he plunged downward to the busy street below.

Oh, No! Is this the end of Kevin? Will he ever fetch a cup of tea again?

Never fear, gentle readers (and brutish ones, too), for right before our accident-prone subject matter expected himself to go SPLAT! on the pavement, he found himself in a crumpled heap in the back seat of a fast moving convertible. Pulling his ankle from behind his neck, Kevin pulled himself up to a sitting position to see that the car was being driven by none other than...

Granted, but no one else is home, and you soon succumb to loneliness and ennui.

It would be nice if the model information included the amount of time spent on it.

    • RE: Sydney Opera House declared World Heritage.

$700 Mil might sound like a lot, but when you consider that the existing interior also has to be removed, without damage to the structure, and the fact that it is a government project with all it's inherent burocracy, that's probably not a bad figure.

A few years ago I had to create a SU animation, and found away to add a signature of sorts. Gee, maybe I am vain. πŸ˜„

Generally, any renderings I am requested to do at work I do not sign. I have created renderings/posters of my work which I was not asked to do, simply because I wanted something decent to hang up in the office - those I have signed.

I am currently working on my first freelance rendering, for another architect. The rendering will be enlarged and displayed on a building to be restored. I told him upfront that I wanted to sign it, and be able to post it (as an example of modeling/rendering only), and he agreed. My reason for signing it isn't for vanity, but for advertisement. Maybe someone else will see it and want to hire me.

    • RE: My first render post

Good start, Toby. The model looks odd, though, IMHO, since there is a lack of context. Even the shots from within the model are too "empty". You might also want to look at changing your brick texture, as it isn't tiling very well.
