"Coplanar" does exist in Romanian too.

    • RE: [Plugin] 2D Tools

      Tig,
Is there any possibility to use .png instead of .jpg files for the line style patterns?
This way, one could apply the hatching patterns on a colored surface.
      Just a though... ❓

      ...that ArchiCAD "adjust" tool...

      Indeed, it's a CAD-like tool.
I use it in ArchiCAD very often, as I said, and I think it would expand SU poor native 2D possibilities even further.

Thanks for updating and for your hard work, generally!

    • RE: [Plugin] 2D Tools

Tig, thanks for your so fast and explicit reply!
I know what fillet tool can do (and I didn't entirely read your the help file 😳 ).
Truth is that I never tried to extend an arc... but I think that's a SU limitation, knowing that they are approximated by segments.

But what I forgot to add to my previous post is that ArchiCAD "adjust" tool can be applied to more that one 2D entity: one can select as many lines or arcs, etc. at once and they will trim or extend all together and, if boundary line doesn't exist, one can draw an imaginary one.
      I hope this make sense.

Actually, a set of real 2D Tools are something I was "officially" asking each time I was in the beta tester team, from @Last to Google, and yours are a major step forward.

    • RE: [Plugin] 2D Tools

Tig, thanks again for your wonderful work, daily updates and your "instant" answers!

A suggestion : an "adjust" tool (instead of the requested "extend").
ArchiCAD has such a tool and I use it very often.
      It works like that:

      • select an entity (line, arc, poly-line, etc.)
      • choose the "adjust" tool
      • pick another 2D entity (line, arc, circle, poly-line, etc), or draw a line
      • the selected 2D entity then is "adjusted" to the last one (shortened if it's longer, extended if it's shorter)

I don't know if it's hard to add this to your tools, but it would be very useful to me (and many others, I dare to think).

20090919 1.4 Inference-locking glitch fixed on repeated lathes.

I don't remember if I gave thanks to you, Fredo, but if I did, I repeat them: THANK YOU VERY MUCH for your life saving, incredible tools! 😍

A wish, though: can you make the additional TOS palette to remember its position on screen from a SU session to another?

A really useful plugin. And it works perfectly πŸ˜„ .
A question, though: the cursor isn't supposed to snap to a given point when asked for the lathe center?
I noticed the tooltip telling me where my cursor points, but a more consistent visual feedback seems necessary, IMHO.

      Thanks again, great work!

      Nice and useful future plugin!
You and all the other ruby masters here, you have all my consideration for your hard work and the willing to share it with others πŸ‘
I just imagine the Google people's satisfaction with every new plugin which add more value to SU, brings more SU buyers and more and more $ in their pockets. πŸ‘Ώ

And a totally newbie question: is there any possibility to add a sort of "clone" tool to your ruby? Something like PS has? I think that it would be very handy for symmetrical geometry like human faces, etc. to work on only one half of the model and then to use it to "clone" the result to the other half. Just a thought...
Or a new ruby to make this?
      What do you, guys, think?

      Regards!

    • RE: [Plugin] TrueTangents v3.0

      Thank you, Tig!
I was waiting for longtime for tools like this one, helping the 2d drafting directly in SU.
I also claimed for years for better native SU 2d drafting tools, but it seems that AutoCAD still has some magic attraction, although buying it only to use its 2d capabilities seems to me a waste of money πŸ˜’

The bad news, though, is that TrueTangents makes my SU 7 to end with bugsplat on initializing 😞 It surely is a ruby conflict, because deleting it solves the issue - actually I have no more than 10 or 12 ruby installed).
I'll try to find out where the problem is.

      Stretching:
F4 to to view the divider plane.
Left click on the divider plane's border to move it parallel to itself.
Double click the divider plane to reset its position to the center of the model.
Right click on the divider plane to have additional (undocumented?) options.

Hey, Google SketchUp, don't you think Fredo deserves a free license of SU 7 PRO ? I think that his plugins brought you a bunch of extra buyers.

Thanks for this useful plug in, bianhai!

A correct install doesn't need "PowerSuTool.strings" file, IMHO. That's the Chinese language string, as far as I could see.

Unfortunately, there are still settings written in Chinese (handrail settings, some warning messages, the "about" window)
Anyways, nice plug in, thanks again!

Thanks for yet another great plugin, Whaat!
Me too I did a very quick test and all seems to be ok.
I have to ask you a little change to the script, if possible: can you make it to number the exported bitmaps like "name00001.jpg", "name00002.jpg", instead of "name0.jpg", "name1.jpg", etc. to make the conversion to avi program to read them in the right order?

      Thanks again!
