Seeing this type of building gave me some inspiration. The compalation isn't that great, but its an idea.

good luck getting a car through those garage doors.
the scale seems off, unless this on a golf course.
on the serious side i love the animation.
Thanks for the comment, your absolutely right about the doors, I didn't realize until after I'd done it. but, on the plus side, the garage is being converted into a bedroom, so the size of those doors aren't really an issue.
I was required to make some footage of the extensions so had a play around.
It took several attempts to get it to this stage. I hope you like it.
Ah, right, that explains that then, both on the grading and the animating. Thanks for sharing.
Once being an avid plastic-puller (contrary to popular befief, this is not a dirty term!) I was drawn to your movie. I think that in New Zealand we don't use the V-grade, but purely numeric, and can get past a 25 on the wall.
I really liked the way the panel moved onto the wall and was trying to do a similar with a wall in a building, may I ask how you managed it?
Here is a heart that I have been working on. It's a painting that a mate of mine has done and I am converting it into 3D.

Nice going Stephen. Keep up the good work. Interesting mods.
Cheesy? A Glock aint Cheesy
Heres a Glock 17 I modelled some time ago, hopefully it will inspire your to complete your model.

Having previously made a rather pathetic attempt at making a Colosseum, I can fully appreciate the work that has gone into you model. Awesome work!

I thought that I would add a V-Ray version. This is set in exactly the same scene as you uploaded it.
It took about 30 minutes to render on my twin core duo.

I wasn't too happy with my result, so I thought I'd try again.
The fish still looks like it's been pasted in afterwards...!

WOW Marius, it's come a long way since I last saw her. Great work. Do you still go online? cause I don't seem you see you round much any more!
Anyway, keep up the great work
Thanks pbacot.
I have just rendered my Pod racer.
How do you do emissive textures? I want my electricity to buzz!

I thought that I would have a try with rendering using Hypershot. This is a render of a castle that I did in an entry into the 3D Cahllenge on the 3D Warehouse. I came second.

I'm not sure about the excessive lighting 'cause Im new to V-Ray, but the lights on the ceiling don't look right to be, being too bright and all, but that may change when you address the excess light.
As for the bare wall, you could put a white radiator/heater on the wall, it wouldn't then take your view away from the desks, while filling the gap??
Looks good though
So, nice. If only I had access to SU, 6 years ago when I was hand drawing illustrated parts manuals for go-karts.

I think most would be envious if it could be pulled off as elegantly as it is displayed.... You must let us see a final if it gets to it...sometimes these great ideas get squashed at the pocket book.
edit: Oh! congrats to your dad for the neat addition!
Lol, thanks.
And I'll see how it goes, and how long it takes, chances are that I will forget about it by the time it's done.
BTW, my dad is reknown for designing rather expensive buildings.
Thanks for all your comments. Just so you know, I haven't designed the extensions, my father (an architect) has designed them and drawn them in Spirit. I have imported them into SU so I can tidy the modelling up and make a presentation. As for the technical side of things, I'm not sure how he has managed the span of the top floor with just the one post on the end, no doubt the engineers will work that one out for him. I guess that's all part of house design!
It's not for me, it's on behalf of someone for their client. So, the thought is, that yes, it is going to be built.
Thanks Stinkie,
I don't know if I have sketched it up very well, or were you refering to the SU model?
