Thanks Daniel, but that only did/ does so much. If you reverse the main face, you can see that part of the infeild grass is still merged together as well as the hills.

[S.O.S] Stupid Faces
I've been working on a kart complex for about 3 days and it's to late to go back and change everything because the ground is screwed up. You know that frustration when all of the faces on the ground are just one face, despite you have walls and other things that should create a new face? That's where I am. Can somebody help me?

RE: Close Gaps Script
I typicaly weld the segments and then use skin to close it, then soften/ smooth the result. All those plugins are found on the visable on the plugins thread.

RE: Challenge Proposal
The thing with the city, you can make the city and then make the track through the streets. Like Monaco or Long Beach. So would you like to join the competition and do a city track Pyroluna?

RE: Garden & Pool House
Hmm, I can't open Paint.NET in Google Chrome, and once you switch from IE to GC, you don't go back. And I did download the GNU Gimp, is there a diffrent version then. Plus there are alot of third parties that make photo editing apps on Facebook.

RE: Garden & Pool House
I download both of those. I'm looking for simpler render program, not that my expections weren't overpassed by Kerkythia. It's that they were belittled to a simple program. I know I will use GIMP, Picasa and Photoshop Mobile post render.

RE: Challenge Proposal
I've gotten permission to do this unique challenge concept by a moderator. So I thought I would be in the clear and a big chunk of members that read this post would join in as this is easier than doing it all by yourself. The whole team concept is meant to keep people entertained while doing far less work. I've done this before on a much smaller competitor base and had great success.

RE: Garden & Pool House
Ehh, that's not the answer I hoped for. I wish Adobe came out with a free version of Photoshop like Google did with SketchUp. Oh well, I think I can edit some shots in Picasa, the Photoshop iPhone app and some other places. Do you know of any good, free render applications? One that can preferably work magic on race tracks.

RE: Garden & Pool House
That's a very professional model. I would consider selling this model very seriously. I see you Photoshopped this, do you think that taking a model into Picasa would have a similar effect?

Race Track Challenge Rules/ Concept
Concept by CodyV1
This challenge is designed to captivate the classic SketchUp frustration, but with a new twist. Instead of just one person working to complete his or her own model, modelers will have to work together to complete one model as a team. Modelers will share ideas on the teamβs model with the team ONLY in their own forum, or any other communication method. All communication methods are allowed, as long as it is legal internationally and all team members are able to access it. Also, challenge moderators most be able to access team communications.
SketchUcation members wishing to partake will enter their name in a random drawing that will separate names into equal numbered teams. Challenge moderators may NOT compete. Teams un-able to meet model checkpoints will be disqualified. There will be checkpoints regularly to ensure the team concept is still in place. -
RE: Challenge Proposal
I guess we could add a in SketchUp render portion of the challenge for extra points or something like that.

RE: Challenge Proposal
Hi Boofredlay,
That's a nice slot car car track, except:
- A real slot car track would have small gaps where the track connects together.
- That's a pretty smooth bridge, again, the gaps make the track a little sketchy.
- Where are the support beams for the bridge?
- The challenge hasn't really started yet. I'm talking with Mike about a team concept.

RE: Challenge Proposal
Okay... Who wants to do a race track challenge? Not a car challenge, they ARE overdone and burnt out. Even Google has cars
I was thinking about a team concept. -
Challenge Proposal
I was thinking the other day about doing a challenge? But not just any challenge. A challenge that captivates that classic SketchUp frustration of doing an imaginary model out of scratch, while at the same time keeping it real. Name the hardest, most un-explored frontier. Castles? No, do you now how many castles there are on the warehouse. Real life terrain? No, we have maps and plugins for that. Give up? Think about the world's most dangerous, bad-mouthed sport. Here we go again... Base Jumping? Get a building, a 2D person and a parachute. What a challenge. Soccer? It's boring, en-exhaustable, many times (including this year's World Cup (France) racist, and not to bring up it's fan made theme songs (the dreaded Vuvuzelas). Lawn bowling? Come on, did I tap the well dry. There's not even a dedicated app for that. I'll just tell you before you start cursing my name under your breath so that the wife doesn't hear you. Oops, to late for that. Sorry.
Motorsports. The hardest to design and most complicated sport genre ever. "Mark Martin and Kevin Harvick race to the line! It's a drag race for the checkered! And their wrecking before the tri-oval! It's over! It's a photo-finish! Was it Mark "The Kid" Martin or Kevin Harvick, the man who took the great Dale Earnhardt's seat after his tragic death here six and a half years ago on the final lap?" Can you handle that heat? Can you even create the place that handles the heat?
So, who's in on one of the hardest challenge's ever?

RE: Skp. to Physical Model?
Thanks for the link rclub24. But, I think that's a little pricey for personal use. There is an architectural firm a couple blocks away http://www.a3studiotx.com/a3studio. I think they might have a 3D printer I can use.

RE: Skp. to Physical Model?
Thanks for all the help. I think I've gotten what I need from Kyyu, seeing I'm trying to save cash. But I'll be more than open to making a few bucks with Serge's link
