Hello,
first, make sure you use the latest version of VRayForSU (1.49.01).
Second, maybe your file is to heavy.
Third, when you import objects, all materials must be checked in VRayForSU. Maybe some are not well setted and crash the render.

ali64risk,
take a look on that VIDEO. It will help you for configuration.
Try to render your scene with my sky image. You will have a bad BG render because of low resolution but you will understand how it works.
To have good results, your HDR image must have a very high resolution.
On this exemple, the HDR image is 9000 pixels long and is a pure render, no photoshop postprod :

On the net, high HDR images sold are 12000 pixels long...
Using background images, VRay maps an image on the interior faces of a sphere representing the sky with your scene in the middle of that sphere.
So, on your image, you've got to represent both north AND south hemispheres with the horizon on the middle of that image like that :

Hope it will help you...
Hello,
in the Texture Editor of BG settings, if you use a TexBitmap, in the UVWGenEnvironment, you've got a "repeat" option for horizontal and vertical settings.
Hello,
first, check your SU and VRayForSU versions and use the last ones (8 for SU and 1.49.01 for VRayFor SU).
Then, look at this VIDEO for render settings. Great help !
Hello,
Maybe the slave computer doesn't recognize the pathway to your files so in VRayForSU, try to set your pathway to your texture file or IES file from the origin of your network and not from your master computer origin :
MyHardDisk:\MyFolder1...\MyTextureFile <- The bad way
\MyComputer\MyHardDisk\MyFolder1...\MyTextureFile <- The good way

VRay cannot rendering ortho views and cannot render 2 pt perspectives... yet.
Are you sure of that ? I've made a test and no problem with 2 pts perspective mode ???
Salut,
Are your omni and rectangular lighted and well setted ?
That copy/paste problem is one of the reasons that i always save my vismats. An easy way to reload them in another SU files.
Hello,
since V1.48, the render window has been remoted because of bugs. Normally, it will be restored in the next version.
I've found the problem.
I've a reflection layer on that material and the refract IOR in the Fresnel editor was set on 1.55. Result with decrease to 0 :

Thanks a lot for your help !
Thanks for response !
Yes, white is tranparent. You can see on my transparency settings that the map is inverted. If not, fills would be plain and lines would be transparent.
Stefanq, what are your transparency settings ?
Same exercise with no bitmap on background :

and VRay material settings :

Transparency settings :

Thanks for response !
As i wrote in my first post, no .png file in that test, only a colored vertical plan with a grid as transparency and a sky on background.
If you are talking about the sky on background, it's a .hdr file and i tried with the environment default settings (no bitmap use) with the same bad transparency results...
Hello,
another thread about transparency, sorry, i didn't found solution on my problem.
So, i don't know how to resolve that : The transparency is not really transparent.

On this image, i've only a colored vertical plan with a grid as transparency and a sky on background. As you can see, the transparent parts are not completely transparent (visible on the alpha view as well). I've tried several settings on material and on render options without succes.
Thanks a lot for help.
Salut,

By the way, I have a Sketchup Pro 7 and a VRay 01.5.30. Maybe my wish can only come true on the last VRay versions ?
That's it ! Upgrade to the last version (1.49.01) !
