      Very elegant design Edson.
I agree with Ross, and would add the wood pattern behind the wood partial wall should all run horizontally. What do you think?

      Tina,
Absolutely beautiful work on the watercolor. I love the setting and I'm glad you posted those detail shots. Those show much more depth and commitment to detail. (everyone squint and look at the door handle)

Also, i wanted to add if you are using a mac you can drop your animation in and put a slo-motion effect on a clip if you render it out too fast. That has been a timer-saver for me in the past.

    • RE: Kitchen model - first customer!

It looks good so far, maybe turn on shadows?
You could turn them on and run the dark slider up high so it doesn't look too dark.

i think it's great that you have taken to studying this.
i still think those are a bit too saturated.
it might be nice to find examples of what you are going for, i'm not sure exactly.
is AJ still around he would be one to ask about this.

here is what i came up with, i think the lightness to darkness from foreground to background could be pushed more.

The only other thing I can think of would be a Gradient from the background to the foreground on the grass plane... Darker in the background to lighter in the forground.
I was thinking that the sun was peeking out on the right of the image and the storm is coming in from the background.
BTW what photo editor/paint program do you use?

Tom, I was wondering what it would be like if you lightened the shade/shadow and put some yellow on there. Here is a quick mock up.
Love your work, hope this doesn't offend.

I'm glad you revived it too. I completely missed any earlier posts on this. I used to use smooth panorama out of 3dVIZ but i like the fact you can create something a little more loose looking.

    • RE: Gatehouse Dilemma

      Edson,
Do you think they would go for something in between? I definitely like the first one best. I blocked out something that is a bit of an ode to FLW, but I think you could make it more or less detailed. I was thinking this was kind of a compromise.
(ran it through maxwell since i've got to do something with it) πŸ˜„

      Andrija,
Beautiful work. I hope you enjoy your stay here πŸ˜„
They look a little bit dim. Maybe more contrast in them to help them pop.
You might could use Photoshop's shadows&highlights to correct it.
Love the work though. Hope you continue to post.

That is awesome, great work in progess shots.
I would also like to know how to place the knobbies on tires like that, is there a tutorial around here?
      Coming along nicely though. 😎

    • RE: .office interior.

      nice work, Jason.
excellent touch on the lineweights, transparent character & the wide camera angle....
i know Anssi doesn't necessarily get up with that but since Jason is the king of the "dynamic camera angle" it all works!

Solo, it looks like Maxwell to me.
3D warehouse should have some airstreams.

too me much more approachable than the new versions in the film.
