Ok, no problem. I'll install Sketchup 2016. I have postponed it because I hate to re-install all the plugins (and finding the updated ones). It gives me a reason to stop procrastinate.

I must do something wrong. I am not able to have the plugin do something. I open a model, push make show and nothing appears to happen.
As I have the same result on a PC with Sketchup 2014 and a Mac with Sketchup 2015, I suppose there is something I am missing, but I don't have any idea about what it could be.
The console message begins with an error:

Nice. It is something I was waiting for. Is the plugin also compatible with Sketchup Make?

Are the images generated as png? Is it possible to have a transparent background? I would love that.

There is a filter in the GMIC package for Gimp that does this. It is called inPainting, I think.

And no, I am not jewish (are you arab?), I am not even a great admirer of Israël that seems to have drifted from the state of its founders into a semi theocratic state looking more and more like other states around it.
But war is war and terrorism is terrorism. No state can accept to have missiles targeting its civil population without using its military forces to stop that. And if you fire missiles at your neighbour's civilians, you can't complain too much when he retaliates.

Ah ok, it is not the dying childrens that bother you, what you want is not stopping a war but a full palestinian victory. Not the same, at all... You should be clearer when argumenting.

And to answer your question: the worst is using your own women and childrens as human shields instead of putting yourself in the way to protect them.

It is what you targets that makes the difference. War is war and you don't have control on all that happens.
But Hamas targets civilians in Israël without even bothering to fight soldiers and just trying to hurt as many civilians as they can.
IDF targets ennemies fighters hiding between civilians used as human shields.
If Israel had the same criminal ethos as Hamas, it wouldn't be just some hundreds deads.

BTW, if Hamas wants to stop the Israelis strikes they just have to accept the truce (refused twice) and stop hurling missiles at israëlis civilians. No missiles, no military operation.

Thanks. An extra step is not a problem at all. I can make most changes on jpg and make the transparent cuts last.

I have begun to make some models that I want to be very NPR, to use as backdrops to some illustrations. So, I have been using a lot the Sketchup capacity to edit a texture in an external program (Photoshop in this case).

I place a material on a face, make the texture unique and then edit it in Photoshop.
My problem is that I would like to leave some parts transparent, but the texture that I can edit in Photoshop is in jpg.

I did try using a material that is in png, but the texture I can edit in Photoshop is always a jpg. I suppose that when I make the texture unique, Sketchup saves it as jpg. Is there a way to have Sketchup save it as png? I didn't find a preference for it.

It is based on Goodman Games D&D scenarios, but generic enough to use in other projects.
The same guy has made lots of elements available on the Sketchup Warehouse.

Sadly, it only saves in .3dmf and I am not sure that format can be used in any other application or converted to .obj or some other format.
