Hey Guys,

I have installed a new Profile Builder 3 and I am trying to develop a profile for a building. Basically made up from residential bays components with balconies.
With special start/end and corners. So I can draw a line in a plan and it will create a building.
I tried to make it a couple of times but can’t make it work.

Any ideas?

Just wondering if there is a plugin / extension which will smooth all contour lines I have got from slicing terrain (with planes).
I am getting something like on image 01 and I want to get a smooth poly line Image 02, I know it will create more points.
Or maybe convert to B-Spline using points as a control points for a spline?

So FACEAREA() doesn't work after all. ))

Does anyone knows how to get a correct area from the component using FACEARAE() function?
Redraw command doesn't update the area after changing component size via "User Text Box"

I switched off scale handles
User can enter LenX and LenY in a text box
After changing the values of LenX and LenY Area is wrong!

Also any ideas regarding questions 2 and 3?

Hi guys,

Just want to check with you a couple of things regarding dynamic components.
I am trying to make a Building block which will report all the necessary information to SketchUp report.

1. Why FACEAREA() returns area which is 2 times bigger then it supposes to be?

2. I want a user to be able to select Building Use which will change a colour of the component. It seems straightforward, but how to report not a colour but actual usage?

3. Also is there a way to have a component name above it? So it easy to see where components with wrong names?

I am making a structural grid component.
My grid lines are repeated by a COPY command inside component attributes .
Just wondering is there a way to insert letters and numbers into grid markers.

• 1, 2, 3, 4, …. for horizontal lines
• A, B, C, D …. for vertical

So every COPY of a grid will have next number or letter.
