Look at what Equadorian did rather quickly along these lines using some free scripts available here on the forum.

Its half way down that page. The general idea is he made a grid, then randomly subdivided some of it using Jim protrude script. Then randomly applied colors to it, replaced the colors with images. THen ran greeble on it. and voi-la! his city. Its pretty impressive, especially for free scripts. And yes, making a more in depth city generator is a dream of mine that I'm slowly working on.

Thank you very much. It works. I also found a solution using a lot of omnilights (500) in the direction of sun but needs 28 min to render and not only 5 min.

Can i email to you the file of sketchup please because i cannot explain, i don't speak english well.

Certainly better texturing, using bumps and clipmaps, better camera and more context. I personally would rather use sky or more realistic background colour.

You change the sun size from the Sky map in the GI Environment setting.
