solo, spill the beans already, are you beta testing v2.0?
Mike
Edson, I also like the first one, it has a "classy" feel whereas the second one looks like the entrance to kids summer camp, not a bad design or model by far, just to me doesn't seem suitable for a plan of condos unless of course that plan is in some wooded area or mountains (highly unlikely), that's what I get from the second one.
Mike
kwistenbiebel, those are all some very nice renders. Fryrender seems to do a better job with the water, I also like the bloom effect. Is Fryrender still in beta?, I looked at it awhile back but thought the price to be a little steep for a program in beta. Also how's the set up time and the learning curve?
Mike
Wow, that's pretty cool And yet another use for SU!
Mike
very cool trick Alan, but doing it this way does not allow to be able to save your rotated texture as a .skm for future use or do you have another trick?
Mike
I think your best bet is to export the texture image, then use PS or something similar to rotate, then import back into SU, and then drag the imported material to whatever folder you what to save it to (ie wood). Here's a link to some wood textures, some have both horizontal and vertical grains. http://www.sketchucation.com/forums/scf/viewtopic.php?f=41&t=3337 Thanks to cadmastr and Jim
Mike
If you just apply the texture to a group you will not have the texture option. You have to click on the group and hit edit group, then you can apply the texture to one face at a time or hold the shift key while appling the texture, this will paint all the faces, then when you click on a face you will have the texture option.
Mike
Very cool, BTW what rendering app did you use?
Mike
Jon, really nice render, haven't had the chance to give Echo a try yet. I was just wondering, was the steam coming off the coffee done in post process?, if not can you give a quick description on how it was achieved? TIA
Mike
This is a link for the material downloads in the Kerkythea Repository, if you read through the Kerky Forums there is also materials made by some of the users that are really good. http://www.kerkythea.net/joomla/index.php?option=com_remository&Itemid=42&func=select&id=3
Mike
Amazing looking as usual, always look forward to your postings.
Mike
Damn, that night shot is amazing. Out of curiousity how high was the water reflection set (always trying to learn)?
Mike
Thanks guys, renaming the file did the trick.
Mike
Thanks Frederick, I used Podium. BTW, I'm looking forward to the KT release, haven't really used KT much because I was such a rendering newbie but the new release looks awesome. Will mail you the skp, can't believe this has generated such interest as it seems pretty easy.
Mike
3eighty could you post a link for the free Bryce 5.5, I couldn't find it on the DAZ site. TIA
