    • DWG another way to export

I tried another way to export dwg to model space

I changed the LayOut background to BLACK and all the lines to WHITE

It worked in Model Space but not in AutoCAD LayOut ( Of course all lines are white )

Can anybody try it and see what you think about it ??

      Thanks

You can adjust the color while in the material edit mode. This sort of "colorizes" the material so it sort of seems like a hack, but can be useful. It's not a finessed as adjusting the texture in an image editor--where you can adjust the contrast, saturation etc. Also, of course, "opacity" is adjusted right in the materials editor window with a slider, but I don't think that's what you mean.

Of course I am talking LayOut

Lets say I want to have a background with a tile pattern and when I place the furniture sometimes it gets confused, that's when I need to get a lighter pattern in the background. Even I tried to change the color of the pattern to gray but seems it is not possible.

There are several tone patterns included but I am trying with some other ones.

      Thanks

Is there a way to modify the opacity of the patterns < darker / lighter > ?
or the only way is to edit them in another progam first ??

      Thanks

Currently the only option for setting line weight is in points. There are plenty of converters available online and I expect you could find a table you could print out as a handy reference. Here's the first hit from a quick Google search.

I thougth it would apply to text size too.
      It didn´t work for me
I wonder if text should be converted by other method
      Thanks

      Marvelous

i have a question, you mention in one video that if you have the scrapbook linked to your own drawings, the size of the file would be increased or just the computer would run slower ???

      Thanks

Sorry for such a newbie oversight. I can't stand raster mode so I always change to vector. Hybrid works fine.
      Thanks!

What do you mean for " can`t stand raster mode " ? Just curiosity
Maybe i can also learn " NOT to STAND for it "

depending on the direction I stretch out my labels, some of them are hidden behind the sketchup objects in my viewport. I think I ran into this once or twice before, and I solved it with the send / move forward or backward tools. not so this time.

Try moving up the text layer

There are many ways, but you might need to be more specific about what you need.
Rich's tutorial on the very basics may be enough to get you going.
      http://sketchucation.com/resources/tutorials/beginner/24-how-to-make-a-spiral-stair

Then again you could make the stairs straight and use shape bender to curve it.
      http://sketchucation.com/pluginstore?pln=clf_shape_bender_v055
Or have a go with one of the Stair Maker plugins
      http://sketchucation.com/pluginstore?pln=gkware_stairmaker
      http://sketchucation.com/pluginstore?pln=Stair_Maker

and a simple one using Fredo's Radial Bend, part of Fredo Scale.

      Thanks BOX

All of them are usefull to me

Can we ask for suggestions to be added in your book - proyect ??

My first one, would be :

Although you mention it is a book, how about a full collection of Scrapbook signs, electricity, 2d furniture, etc. and download them, when buying the book.

      Another one.

A Step by Step process, about saving scenes in SU - Update LO - so we don´t suffer in getting changed viewports in LO. Many of us, had learned the hard way, after messing up several proyects. I know there must be more to learn about this subject.

      Thanks

      Hello,
Please describe exactly what you did to reproduce the splat. PB2 was in beta testing for 5 weeks and there was not one report of any bug-splats. If this is caused by PB2, I will try and release a fix as soon as possible.

      Thanks for the report!
