My Sketchup PRO 8 crashes whenever I try to start it it doesn't get any further than this error message I haven't made any changes to the system is anyone else seeing anything like this happening?
I’ve tried to restart machine and have everything else switched off, but no dice.
I Tried the subscription version in 2020 and it kept on refusing to identify my logon so I abandoned it and went back to the desktop version.
Saas is a terrible model for CAD software and I'll never use it
@Box I don't understand, I didn't 'quietly edit' anything, I just used the editor to edit my version one I knew what it was. I reinstalled and all working now.

When I try to load TT_Lib sketchup immediately crashes. I'm installing via the dialog pathway:
Window > Preferences > Extensions > Install Extension.
Is an early version of TT_Lib available? or is there another solution? Thanks.
My system is Windows 10 Home 64bit, IntelR CoreTMi5-7500 CPU 3.40 GHz. Not running a GPU.

I wanted an irregular but repeatable tile recently and ended up using type 4 from here. I wanted to cut shapes from concrete waste, so I wanted a shape with not too tight angles to reduce breakage and simplify handling.

the dots are a visual guide for drawings to help place tiles.
I used to have a plugin that I could rotate my screen view with. So just the screen view, not the objects.
From memory it had a button one clicked on and a circle, poss. with an arrow (but I'm very unsure about that bit) in it popped up like the attached pic, and I would click in centre of circle and manually rotate the screen view to suit. I reinstalled a while back and can't find plugin.
Can anyone else remember it? and does a copy exist? I'd really like to use it again.

Thank you both, and I now have a working drop.rb - and know how to load my other old scripts.
I'm restarting with Sketchup on version 21 and reinstalling some of my old plugins but cannot find a way to add .rb files as the extension manager only has a .rbz option.
Is there some other files that needs to be added to help it see older files? or something else?
My specific .rb is Drop 1.52 (no programmer id in file), it drops any selected objects to a user-defined height so it 'drops' upwards as well!
