new Renderengine?

I tried Rayscaper but unfortunately the program is not yet developed to the point where I can use it without any problems.
@jo-ke - I don't want to hijack your thread, but is there feedback you can share? I try to improve the software continuously, and understanding what's not working is valuable. Even if Rayscaper is not for you, your experience can help me improve it for others.
Thanks,

No problem. I am still in research, what solution is good for me.
I had Rayscaper in the alphaversion, you saw about my problems. It was to early to integrate it so my workflow for my professional work (interior design), so I was testing it in my leasuretime. suddenly there were some watermakrs in the render, and I would have to pay for a betha version with many things that are still missing. So I stopped testing it, and start looking for a fishished product.
I don't know at what point the developpment of raysacaper is right now but at the moment if left, it was really still aplha.

How are you importing SU into TM? I do not use the sketchup plugin but use datasmith only. I have probably imported SKP into TM a few hundred times without any issues at all. So do not export SKP into TM. Import Skp to TM.

Encase you are still having problems ( But I think Datasmith is the issue for you) Enscape is a very easy solution with almost instant results. It is about 10 USD per week on a monthly plan.

As I understand it, Rayscaper requires a monthly registration until bought.
Not that far removed from sketchup licenses.
My ten pence worth is that Rayscaper is a product worth hanging in there for.

No, it's a once-off payment. It uses the Sketchucation licensing system which is bundled in Sketchucation Tools but there's no ongoing payments.

Hi jo-ke, have you tried Thea render? Lots of pre builds materials , very fast render, easy to set up.

@jo-ke Thanks for the feedback!
Currently, it's still beta, but I hope to graduate to 1.0 in the next month. I hear the feedback on the watermarks. I will reduce the watermarks in one of the next versions to make it easier to test.
@Mike-Amos - Like Rich already said it's a one-off payment. $74.99 for SketchUcation premium members and $99 for non-premium members. This is the price for the beta and the subsequent 1.0 release.

Sorry folks, I was talking about the beta/alpha which Joke was on about. New license once a month until you buy a full license.
I have done this which in my humble opinion is a bloody good deal.
Early doors but when I first saw it knew it was going places, hence my feedback.

I think in late summer I will have a look at rayscaper again. In the meantime I still have Twilightrender.
