The No-Axis option allows painting with UV direction taken from model axes (as the Paint Bucket tool), which is not possible with the old ThruPaint.
I can certainly introduce a Default Parameter setting to disable this behavior.
However, I don't understand why you have difficulty getting close to edges.

It requires more accuracy and some times the edge is hidden. Before I would simply point to a face and when the gizmo was closer to a corner than the others the red and green axis immediately popped up. It was much faster and predictable.

ThruPaint is free for the time being. NO license needed.
However, make sure you upgrade to the latest version of LibFredo6.

i have upgradet LibFredo6 and Thrupaint. It seems that they changed it and now it cost money. Her a picture with the License. But however it doesnt work with Purchase License..

Could you upgrade to LibFredo6 v13.9a. It should solve the problem (no need for a license of ThruPaint).

You can buy individual extension's licenses, but the bundled set offers discounts on the total cost...

I have purchased Fredo6 Bundle, which I thought had ThruPaint in it, In Feb of this year. I just realized it doesn't have Thrupaint. I am trying to purchase one, I am not able to. Purchase license is leading to the hyperlink> "https://sketchucation.com/purchase-smart.php?plugin=ThruPaint" which is giving a message - ERROR: Unknown plugin identifyer.Can someone help how to purchase Thrupaint please?
