Quite stable so far, and fantastic to be able to address more system memory. Also, nice to see 2 point camera working. I don't need to rely on "lens shift" guessing any more πŸ˜„
I don't believe there is any speed improvement, per se. It's still the same vray 2.0 engine. With vray 3.0, there are some definite speed improvements, so hoping they develop that quickly for Sketchup.

I agree. I have tested it on a few projects. In general you won't see faster performance because 64 bit doesn't really do that, it's like moving into a 3 bedroom apartment from your studio. More space to breathe, but doesn't make you a super human or anything. For speed we need to wait for 3.0 which from what I have read about 3.0 in Max, has faster render times.

I am happy to not have to stress about memory crashes ever again and 2 pt cameras are HUGE for me. See you later lens correction tool in Photoshop! Thanks to the Chaos crew working directly with Trimble to make that one happen. It's nice to see Trimble recognizing the value of the software developers and working with them directly.

What was the issue w/ 2pt Projection before? I'd definitely had my share of wrangling with it, but I want to be clear on what was the source of that, and how it's now fixed! I too ended up using lens correction filters or tilt-shift guessing when the FOV/aspect ratio/projection type got too confusing...

lack of exposed functionality in the Ruby API for SketchUp. V-Ray For SketchUp 2.0 SR3 supports panning in 2 point perspective views in SketchUp 2015 only. 2013 and 2014 versions of SketchUp do not have the necessary information available to our plugin to support panning in 2 point perspective.

Devin, Have you guys run any benchmark tests on 2014 and 2015 using the latest SP on both to see if there are speed improvements? I think we would all be interested.

No, we haven't benchmarked it, but we DID start the next development cycle... πŸ˜‰

has anyone had problems with shades of SU2015, when applied HDRI lighting? In this latest version of Vray, it is not properly showing me the shadows thrown SU2015.

                      appreciate the help

It depends on how you are setting up your lighting. If you use HDRI lighting, you should use the dome light. The Default Lights check box no longer makes the SU shadows show anymore. That's an old hack from 1.49

I have been running SU8 and Vray 1.6 for a very long time and had no issues with my renders. Couple weeks ago I found a tutorial on 2D vray proxies (high poly trees) and I made few 2D proxy trees which looked realy good but my SU and vray would freez or I would just get a bug splat. It was driving me nuts. So few days ago I upgraded to SU15 and vray2 and never looked back.
Once I convert my high poly proxy tree into 2D proxy it's 10 fold less in size πŸ˜„ and in this case SU is not being used when render because it goes straight from vray πŸ˜„
So I am very pleased with SU15 and vray2 πŸ˜„

                          cheers

Would love faster parsing times on large scenes. Other than that, I am a very happy customer.
