Big problem (sketchup 8)

The Web-dialogs used in SketchUp will always use IE [on PCs], irrespective of your preferred web-browser setup.
Ensure that you have the latest version of IE installed [even if you never use it otherwise] and that its 'Internet Options' are NOT setup to be too strict, as that might prevent some functions working properly, as they will use javascript etc...
Also clear your IE cache and restart SketchUp, to see if there is/was something 'stuck in the pipe', so to speak

i have already the latest version of IE (i think that javascript is working too).
I have the same kind of problem also for other windows. just uploaded an other screen of the 1001 bit windows. This windows for example should be dynamic if i change the setting from the type A to the B, but doesn't happen. In facrt when i press on "Build staircase" it doesn't work (the widows does not close).

Have you tried re-installing SketchUp and/or updating your SketchUp version to it's latest maintenance release?

yes i uploaded to the latest version of sketchup and the lastest one of internet explorer (setted now as default browser).
i think that is a problem due to the connection between the program and internet explorer (something about web dialog) but i still didn't find any solutions.
when i started using sketchup it worked, after a few time dind'nt work more.
so in this moment i'm not able to use many plugins and other tools of sketchup such as the 3d warehouse window(if i try to run it from the program), and the same for other tools. -
As Tig mentioned above, Have you cleared the Cache of Internet Explorer?
Check that your antivirus and firewall are allowing SU to connect.

There seems something broken in the communication between the webdialog and sketchup. Maybe you have you disabled JavaScript in your internet explorer settings? are you absolutely sure Javascript is enabled?

You were asked twice if you had cleared the Internet Explorer cache but you never responded that you did. Have you tried this?
Have you considered trying SU2015 to see if you get a different result than you're getting with SU8?

Hmmm....
It must be something with your computer because it isn't happening to everyone. What version of Windows are you running? Do you have access to another computer you could use to try this?

Can you try to upgrade your Internet Explorer to the latest version... [v11?]
Empty the cache and check the Internet Options are set up to allow the running of javascript and not be too restrictive on what is opened etc...
Then restart SketchUp and try the web-dialogs again. -
Windows 7 Home Premium.
Yes, I think too because in the first period I installed SU on this pc there were no problems, then suddenly it began to not runnung more.
I'm sure that if I use another pc I will not have problem, but I use this one for the university in fact I think that the last solution I have is to format it. -

Now i'm checking for the option about java.
IE seems not to have problems for the restriction of java, i checked in the plug-in window and it is enabled, than I checked the security panel and the voice about the script of java applet and it is enabled too.

Fire wall, anti virus, windows updates, adblocker, popup blocker, internet security options, adaware virus,caches, cookies, so many possible reasons......mostly related to PC maintenance/house keeping.
Difficult in any language. -
It is "javascript" - not "Java" which is a different thing...
As @Box says, there are many things to look at, many beyond the scope of plain SketchUp...
For example, have you recently run a virus-checker ?
