Sudden ding/chime when clicking mouse wheel
-
This is due to some plugin that you've installed. Can you think of any plugin you've installed recently?
You could also search your plugins folder for any file with the text
beep
, orUI.beep
. And if its on a lingle line, just place a#
in front of it. -
Sounds like christmas has arrived.
-
It should be housebuilder.rb (if Chris is right)
-
Thanks will do a search.

First see if you have housbuilder.rb and search there. If you don't, search elsewhere, too

What OS? You should be able to search your computer or at least specific areas for that text.

WIN 7 64. In the general search box, or with some switches added.
I do have the housbuilder plugin but not installed in the plugin folder.

If Housebuilder isn't in the Plugins folder, it won't be loading with SketchUp so it wouldn't be responsible for the dings.
Go to Windows (button, lower left corner)>Search>For Files or Folders. You should be able to search for files containing the text beep.

Found it.
jf_audible_tool_click.rb
Removed the ruby and the ding is gone.
-
Was that part of another tool?
-
Yeah, Its part of Jim Foltz's
jf_annoy_the_crap_out_of_everyone.rb
toolset -
