Sometimes I get no results from the sculpt tool at all. However this can change when I close the model or SU and reopen. What might be the things that make this tool work better, or worse?
Also: I'd request some lock on vertical movement in the future, so we don't have to hold the shift key down all the time (this is the way I use almost always use it when it works).

Why do I install the free 15-day version of the display icon gray, can not be used.
If I buy genuine worry about will not be displayed? ? -

Hi Peter,
Maybe you have a mask active? If you have any edge or face selected, the sculpt tool will only affect those selected entities. I am not sure why else you would experience this.

If I buy genuine worry about will not be displayed? ?Unless Artisan was installed previously on your computer, the icons should not be gray until 15 days have expired.
Once you purchase and register, the icons will no longer be grayed.
If you have problems with the plugin after purchase, I can provide you a refund.

Well, it's a fresh new file I've started, that's the weird thing.

BTW is is mathematically impossible to have smooth work in vertical lock mode (like sculpt and flatten)? What do you think about a lock down setting instead of the shift key?

It might help if you post the file. Also, what other plugins do you have installed?
Try temporarily putting all other plugins in a backup folder so they don't get loaded by SU to see if that fixes things. Then, try to use process of elimination to see if one particular plugin is contributing to the bug-splat.

Well, I'm using a new file, so there's nothing in there that could cause problems
Edit: I've removed all the plugins, and no more bugsplats!
Edit 2: Reinstalled SketchUp + replaced all the outdated plugins = problem solved! -

A couple questions--maybe others have these issues (features?).

When I select with the sculpt select tool, the selection partially disappears (some faces become unselected) during the first sculpt operation. The full selection might be functional during the first operation, but upon completion of the operation only the remaining selection is active. Why doesn't my full selection stay until I change it? I'd like to keep working on the selected faces. [This seems to be faces along the edge of the selection, which become deselected. I find that if I then add them back in, they stay selected better?]

The sculpt circle and arrow disappears during the operation (often not always).

Here's an example of something I want to do. I would like to select an area on one side of a hard edge and bring that edge up with the selection. This sort of works, stretching the faces on the opposite side. Is there a plugin or method that would leave those far side faces in place and infill the gap? Such a method could (for example) create a vertical face with breaks top and bottom as the geometry on the selected side is raised.
