      Hello to all,

Simple question, why after following the guidline for locating said plugin within plugin folder, both the flatterly file and seperate .rb, it will NOT work no matter what i do.

After looking over the site this plugin is taken from for a FAQ or similar, and finding nothing at all, i turn to all out their who hopefully, can help me to get this sorted............regards and thanks.

                                 Tom.........

I quote from the 'flattery' site http://www.pumpkinpirate.info/flattery/
        Installation
To install Flattery, simply copy the file "flattery.rb" and the folder "flattery" into the SketchUp plugins folder.
On Windows, this folder is usually C:\Program Files\Google\Google SketchUp 7\Plugins.
On Macs the folder is usually /Library/Application Support/Google/Google SketchUp 7/SketchUp/plugins.
Once the files are copied, start SketchUp.
You should see the Flattery toolbar.

To check where your version of Sketchup is actually installed open
Menu > Window > Ruby Console
        and type/copy+paste this
        Sketchup.find_support_file("Plugins")
Typically you substitute '8' for '7' for a newer version of Sketchup.
'Flattery' is an Extension and needs switching on in
        Menu > Window > Preferences > Extensions > Flattery
If the 'Flattery' toolbar is still not showing check
        Menu > View > Toolbars > Flattery
        is ticked...

To be honest, I am finding this plug-in extremely difficult as well as baffling to use. It doesn't seem to behave in the way the instruction suggest- and they are not the best instructions either, especially as you can't even see the cursor on the animated gif's. ๐Ÿ˜ก

Hi I am having the same problem. the plugin appears ticked in the system preferences (window tab) but it is not on the toolbars option (view tab), I tried changing my sketchup folder name from 8 to 7 but was not allowed. how'd you get yours to work?

                kind regards,

I'm experiencing same issue as "sketchyarchitect" - plugin menu will not show โ—

Pavel, is your problem only that the Plugins menu doesn't show? If that is the case, go to Preferences>Extensions and tick the boxes you find there. Then click on OK.

Thank you so much! This was really helpfulโ€”I hadn't been able to figure out how to get this extension installed.

I see you are on MAC with v2015.
                          This thread is somewhat old.
I recommend you get the latest version of "Flattery" from the SCF PluginStore...
                          http://sketchucation.com/pluginstore?pln=Flattery
It has been updated to work with >= v2014.
Auto-Install it into your Plugins folder using SketchUp > Preferences > Extensions > Install... button
Check that its Extension is ticked in the Preferences, then check that its Toolbar is active etc...

Could you explain what you've done? Did you get it from the Sketchucation Plugin Store? Did you use the Plugin Store tool? If not, what did you do after you downloaded it?
