Fredo
Any news about the double line you mentioned for V1.4 ?
Thanks

This will come, but not before end of Sep (actually, it should do more than double, and on any contour). I did not spend a lot of time recently on Rubys, but should try to resume soon, with some work on Web dialogs as well.
I also solved the question of generating faces when drawing lines on surfaces.Fredo
-
Well that's strange, I'm using the tool right now to offset from a shape on a curved face. However, for some reason it thinks that the object is part of the face too, and thus is offsetting over that face. That's (obviously) not what I want...
-
Not sure I understand the problem.
Just in case, there is an option 'Isolate surface when extending' which is mapped on F7 and also available in the contextual menu. This allows ignoring the surrounding surface when you offset.Fredo

Thanks Fredo; I'll try that next.
I'm getting this error too. Is there anything I forgot to extract?

No such file to load -- /LibTraductor_20.rbError Loading File ShapeOnSurface.rb
uninitialized constant SUToolsOnSurface::CODE_Rectangle[EDIT] Hmmm... didn't work. The problem is that in the last screenshot, you can see a blue line that comes through the object (default color). That's the face I want to offset. When I do so, it thinks that that object is the same as the cilinder on which I am trying to offset. This results in a few lines on the cilinder (the grey area), but then all of a sudden the lines makes a strange turn, goes over the object (the default color thing), and when it touches the grey area again, it goes back to the beginning. I want that blue lined face to extrude, not anything else

Hi Fredo
I was late finding this thread and didn't know about this ruby. Awesome! Thanks.
-
At the moment, I am struggling around all the bugs that the Sketchup API has on Mac.
So unless I release just for Windows.... -
I would be happy with that
great to hear, that you are still on it Fredo. I am looking forward to the new release
-
As a hint, it will be 27 working days before the release of SU7
-
And then you can start re-writing the whole script for compatibility issues
-
thank very much

Coen,
You can testify that my NDA with big G is as thin as a face in a Sketchup model, that is, I have absolutely no knowledge whatsoever of what is going on and did not sign anything by the way.
I am working on ToolsOnSurface, but actually wanted to clean up and structure a little bit the script so that it is easier to write additional functionality. Part of it was using Web dialog, to avoid the Function keys, another part was to manage the releasing, the proliferation of icons and having a cleaner shared libraries. It just happened that on my way, I had this problem with Web Dialog on Mac, for which I hope to get some help from big G.
Anyway, as an additional hint, let's say that it will be on a Thursday.
Fredo
