Hmm, imagine ... I bought MoI recently, and I've been fantasizing about a cross between SU and MoI a lot.

            Kwisten's dont-you-dare-crash-on-me-button sounds like a plan too.

quiet kwis, the phrase 'high poly' and any of its derivatives are forbidden from this thread!!

                I've got another one.
                A 'displacement-map-to-geometry tool'.

This could be a great feature when modeling buildings using photomatch .
Sketchup could generate a displacement map from a facade picture and transform it into 3D.
In this way,we could have windows, doors and facade material bump automatically 'hard modeled' into geometry.
A tremendous photorealism boost (definitely for rendering 😄)....but only possible if Sketchup can handle higher poly models off course.

How would that work with locking axes for movement? I like the directional focing quite a lot...

you know if you use the move tool you can force the direction of movement using the arrow keys, i was basically asking how you would like to work your nudge tool around forcing the direction of movement. Hope thats a bit clearer.

While we're dreaming, I'd like to have a built-in "Make Espresso" tool, perhaps with Cappuccino (CTRL) and Mocha (SHIFT) options.

                          I insist in :
%(#4000BF)[A tool that will , in a small rectangulo provided by the same tool, eliminate all the points inside and create a one single brilliant point.
That would give an enormous ability to close faces.
Most useful when elevating a complex sum of planes.
                          ]

When you are drawing a building you get many times the non coplanar faces. It is absolutely impossible to get the right point to close a face properly.

                          I want that tool.

                          ,))),

Move a component (or any selected entities) along an axis basically a nudge tool, set increment movement, choose axis, ETC,ETC but sorry no drink option 😢 . Had to give up caffeine so my heart could slow down. 🎉

I think there was also another ruby nudge tool as well recently 😒

Just one button to toggle on/off 3D orbiting.
Once you apply 'Align View' on axes, a face or a section plane you could simply proceed drawing semi 2D in the aligned view without worrying about orbiting. Only panning and orbiting 2D.
I know you could save some scenes but....

                                Mind navigation.

Orbit, zoom, pan, etc just with your mind, sounds like science fiction now, but who know with version 12 it may just be science fact.

                                  Dear All,

This is more a modification to an existing tool.

It would be nice to have a multiple copy option for the move too. Click the Ctrl key once and you have the single copy option ('+' sign appears); click the Ctrl key twice and you have the multi-copy option ('++' sign appears). Scroll through the options by clicking the Ctrl key.

I know about the *n and /n options, but these only work between the start and finish point, or along a linear path. I often want to pick up a copy of a component and then drop it in lots of different places in X,Y and Z.

                                  Regards,
                                  Bob

oooh, i think ive got a good one...a tool that allows you to project geometry onto a surface. I was thinking so youd be able to do things like this trellis http://www.sketchucation.com/forums/scf/viewtopic.php?f=79&t=7304 without havign to do lots of boring stuff.

                                          Dear Remus,

Didier Bur has a collection of tools called projection tools which allow one to project geometry on to a plane. In fact, I asked him to update the tool set, which he did, and which can found in the Ruby Depository (second page, Projection Toolbar Update)

                                          Hope this helps.

                                          Regards,
                                          Bob
