I meant coming up with the model itself. I don’t seem to be able to design something like this. Yes, once designed the render engines are making it somewhat easier to come up with good renders.

I like your results. πŸ‘ πŸ‘

Well I definitely do not design the majority of the stuff I post. Some when its conceptual and there isn't actually a design or when we're working through a design. But for the most part, these are all other's designs.. in case that wasn't clear.

Thanks for the reply. Where do you find stuff like this (and your other neat scenes/models)?

99% of this stuff is paid work so comes from the architect, designer, broker, etc. Sometimes its just a plan and some photo reference of what they want, sometimes plans and elevations and complete finishes.

                      Thanks Bryan.

Here are some conceptual images for a set build of a high end upper west side apartment for a tv show. They're a weird format because that's the aspect ratio the show is being shot in.

Its definitely odd to try to use indoors and see as much as you can. 2:1...I guess its a compromise between 4:3 and 16:9

quick one from friday afternoon. addition to an existing house.

One thing I like over Lumion, with D5 is that this is straight out of D5 with no post processing. Obviously I 'should' probably spend a little time, but sometimes there just isn't time available. But with Lumion I was always forced to do some post processing to get it where I want it.

The lighting is great. Everything is great. But the lighting is really nice.

The subtle noise patterns really breaks up the textured walls.
