[Preview] Wrap-R Video #2
-
Oooh.
-
hey hey hey
what about the open beta - will it be ready for xmas??
-
Rich said 'next month', so no.
Edit: Also, 'next month' may not mean to software developers what it means to us.
-
We could release it this month but Christmas time is not the best time to tackle any issues that may crop up.
I'm gonna commit to January for sure. January 2017.
I'm gonna add you to the test group this week if you've spare time to try it out.
-
Wow!! I've been waiting for something like this for a long time
Awesome

Much obliged, Rich. Testing will have to wait, regrettably. We're renovating our house. Believe me: I'd rather try out new SU plugins than dig holes for septic tanks.
That being said, if the the eventual release of this plugin is solid, I'll happily buy it.

Thanks. June it is!

Tried Wrap-R (why isn't it called WrapUp?) for the first time today. Is it supposed to work properly with SU2017?
*Gotta watch Rich's vids before I start complaining. *
-
Any new about this? I'm sure it will be a game changer!
Greetings! -
Hello Rich O Brien... any news? I'm impatient ... Wrap-R is the first in my shopping list
-
This month we open up the beta to test as many OS as we can.
But here's a video I did for the current testers showing some of the new functionality...
-
Do you mean will it export the UV layout?
You can export the UVs to SVG so you can scale them to any resolution without pixelation.
-
Will Wrapper feature some kind of 'render UV template' with alpha (3DS Max terminology)?
https://vimeo.com/151742771
My idea is to use Object Painter tool later (upon proper set UV map) -
-
Very excited for this.
I suspect the Beta will be closed. I'd be happy to participate if you're looking for more users.
-
Second that, beta testing would be nice
-
Wow. Looks good. If you need a complete noob for testing, I'm in. Might be helpful.....can't blame a bloke for trying though
-
Could you upload part 2-3?
-
Hi Rich, Will we see Mac OS as well? Just downloaded but for Windows only.
Any news on this?
Cheers -

Thank you for testing Wrap-R beta. Do I understand well that after you mark the seams in SketchUp, you export your model to .obj from SketchUp? The .obj exporter will not export the marked seams so of course you will not see them in Wrap-R. The preferred way to do it:
- Mark your seams in SketchUp with the Wrap-R plugin.
- Select in SketchUp the geometry you want to unwrap.
- Right click the selected geometry and from the context menu select "WrapR / Send to WrapR"
Other option:
If you want to use Wrap-R as a stand-alone application. You need to save your model in .skp format and open the .skp file in Wrap-R.I hope this helps.
