but we have bigger toolbar icons in 2014 now...
no benefit, less space. And no way to adjust it. This is progression! You know that there is a checkbox in the toolbar options to change them to small icons?
-
There is only one incontrovertible certainty regards the release of SU2015, People will complain.

no, i'm using sketchup for 10 years now and i don't know any checkboxes...
The small/large icon setting is maybe the first setting that i change after a fresh installation.
It is clearly wasted space in 2014. Most of the icons are not even bigger but only have more grey background now: http://sketchucation.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=15%26amp;t=58435And btw. the photomatch window does not fit in 2014! WHY?!?

It says here on the knowledgebase that it is released, haven't seen it yet though so maybe in the next few days? Does anyone know any more?

But the entry was there, i have seen it too. Must have been removed.

What's new about SketchUp Pro 2015 licenses
With the release of SketchUp Pro 2015 we have changed, and improved our licensing works. There are a number of significant changes which you wish to ...But its not possible to access the page.
So another change of the licensing system? I hope that it was no mistake to buy the needless v2014...

Anyone had the time to test how much of an improvement the 64 bit support is?
-
I've used it. Don't see any difference due to it being 64 bit but then I don't create monstrous file sizes. The code optimization, though, has brought about a rendering speed increase. I rarely see the model go wireframe when orbiting or panning though the model.

And although you may have a ton of various plugins installed, the start-up is super fast compared to previous releases...

A great improvement... AND 64bit support

I have SU14 pro so do I need to download 15 or will it update when I go to "Help > Check for update" at some point in the future?
-
It's an Upgrade not an Update, so you need to get it, but you can run both, for as long as you want...

OK thanks driven, I just paid for 12 months maintenance so is it included in that do you know? Will get onto the reseller.

Looks like I got my answer sooner than I thought I would. But then again I knew it was too quiet.
This is great news! And to think a few months ago we were reading posts that suggested SU will never be 64bit. As soon as I finish downloading, I'm gonna load up lots of Thea tree proxies and see what happens.
