      Hi Chris, Hi everybody,

      @chris fullmer said:

EDIT: Confirmed, it doesn't work with version 4,5,6 or earlier. Just version 7. Sorry Pilou and any other SU6/5 devotees!

(Am I SU6 devotee ? Not sure. I just still use it mainly. Why? May be because I'm not found of the actual way of SketchUp development.)

Thank you ++ for this new plugin!! I don't need it for I'm still with Su6, but I Keep it in mind for future.

... Also, how to you embed Jing videos in the forum????? I've been trying to forever!

Cool to mention my How can i attach a Flash (Swf) video to my posts

but You can better follow this simpler way by Ecuadorian.
Easy way to embed Youtube video in SketchUcation that I mentioned at the end of the thread.. ๐Ÿ‘ ๐Ÿ‘

Any way of making the standard views also force a Parallel Projection switch to the camera ? I've been looking everywhere for a plugin that would do that, but i haven't found anywhere.
Thank you very much in advance...

It's easiest enough to add a shortcut key combo to toggle between parallel and perspective camera settings. That way the tools suit everyone and pressing a key to change from one format or the other is no great hardship ๐Ÿ˜•

I know, that's how i am working at the moment. Although the things i'm working on require constant changing from various parallel projection viewpoints to perspective and back, and it's kind of a hassle to press several keys each time i'm changing the view, and i was wondering if there is anything i can add to the script to force changing to parallel each time i switch to a standard right/front/top view, and to perspective when i switch to iso.
Coming from 3ds max, it's very easy there to switch fast between named views with just a single shortcut, and i'm kind of missing that ๐Ÿ˜„

works perfect and really improves sketchup possibilities to draw 2D while everything is represented 3D but working with several axes views I realize that it could be interesting to have a way to save the axes position.

Set the view as a scene-tab and then revert to it as needed...

Didier BUR made UCS manager plugin to do exactly that, but i don't find it anymore on the web

I like the plugin because I find that I need to view from the bottom fairly often which the standard views does not do. However, I am wondering if it could be made to use my zoom setting instead of always Zoom to Extent. Since I started using it, I always wind up having to zoom back in to where I was instead or it just "rotating" he camera to view from the bottom.

If this is not realistic, just let me know.........

                          Hi Chris,

Just wondering if there are any plans to make this 2016 friendly? Love the plug in, would be a great help.

                          Cheers.

I think the version in 'Extension Warehouse' is working, even if it gives a warning when installing...

What a great plugin! Once installed, I mapped my arrow keys to it, and now I can see the basic mechanical views of my cabinets. Obviously this should have been the default in SU originally. THANKS!!

How do I send a donation? Really.

Any word on an update for SU2017? This was probably the extension that I most often forgot wasn't just an integral part of SketchUp, and I'm missing the functionality a lot.

One of the best plugins and simplest, I use nowadays in SketchUp. In particularly with Vray. Keep up the good work Chris Fullmer! But any words about the upcoming update for 2017 version?

Are you OK Chris Fullmer? Is there anyone that can fix extender views for SU2018 or a code to copy and paste to make ir work?

                                          Hy .. Dzieล„dobry

I'm just starting with sketchup API and I have choosen CLF Extended Views as a sample lo see how extention should be made..
Soon enough I realised that it doesn't work in sketchup 2017..
I found out it was due to change made in sketchup 2017 when exploding groups..

I started to learn ruby last month but with lots of digging in sketchup's API documentation I managed to fix it.. (So proud ๐Ÿ˜„)

Here is the .rbz file (just zipped it and changed the extention to .rbz)
                                          This should work

I wanted to send that file directly to Chris so he could maintain it in extention warehouse but couldn't find his email.. Hope You don't mind.. It was a greate excercise to me..

                                          Tomasz
