There's a Plugins > SketchUcation item 'SketchUcation Plugins Uninstaller..'
That opens a dialog similar to the Plugins Manager.
It lets you Uninstall selected Plugins - the rb/rbs/rb!/rbs! files are renamed with a final x - rbx.rbsx/rb!x/rbs!x
They do not then appear in the 'Plugins Manager' or 'My Installs' lists.
You can Reinstall any 'x' plugins using the same dialog too.

If you want to permanently remove these Uninstalled files from your system you'll need to do it manually - open your Plugins folder, filter by the final 'x', select them and 'delete'.
The associated subfolder [if any] is usually named after the plugin file itself and so it can therefore be removed manually too, at the same time; although leaving it in the Plugins folder does no harm...

        I get these two...
        Error - Start up.pdf
One at start up, the second when I click on the Plug ins manager button.
        Error - Plug Ins Manager.pdf
Also: I use multiple monitors, and the new tool bars and menus show up frequently on one of the other screens...am I the only one?

I had not realized this was available 😲 😳
          Very handy. πŸ‘
Seems like this should also be in SketchUcation Plugins Store in the "My Setup" 😎

            @goatboy...

It's a Plugins folder limited Security permissions problem...

Please read this which explains how to fix it...

Tig could you put that permissions business together as a sticky so you don't have to write it again and we can just link to it.

                  2 little UI(?) suggestions

                  • when logging in, the ability to press <return> once your name&password has been typed instead of needing to mouseclick on the login button

                  • some sort of feedback upon clicking 'autoinstall' that the plugin is actually downloading.. i.e.- a little spinning wheel pops up somewhere.. or something.. similar to downloading via a browser as each app has some sort of user feedback that a page is loading or a file is downloading.

I'm not sure if this is the right place to post but here goes. First off as usual I am truly in awe of the great work of both the Trimble Team and all of the developers contributing at SUcation. Here's my quandary. Sketchup 2013-Make is installed on 2000 laptops at my kid's high school (why not Pro is another story). However, admin permissions are required when trying to add even the most basic of plugins/tools. Any suggestions/ideas if this Sketchucation Tools 2.5 can get around this bureaucratic virtual wall.

It says downloading % in the bottom left corner on mine.

Jeff means that the PluginStore Dialog box show a loading graphic when you click autoinstall not the status bar in SketchUp.

In sme instance the download can be so fast that the need for a spinner would be pointless. But I do know on some plugin the few secs to mins needs to be indicated.

oh.. then i change my suggestion.. make that ↑ work on mac.

it's not a big deal for the tiny .rb files as the 'auto-installed' dialog pops up quickly.. with the larger sized plugins though and no feedback, there's enough time in between clicking the install button and the installed message for doubt to kick in on whether or not i clicked the button properly

                            [EDIT]

                              @Jeff

You can see in the My Setup bulk updater we display 'Loading' when you are installing multiple updates.

In the next release we will expand this to all installs so there is visual indicators of 'sumthin' happening.

                              You going to Basecamp Jeff?

It would be great to extend this plugin with jiminy-billy-bob's statistcs, to have statistics on all plugins

                                    HI there,

Before I install I was just wondering if I can designate the plugin folder/ folders that SketchUcation Tools corresponds to? Currently I have my plugins in a dropbox folder that I link to from all of my computers using the additional folders plugin, thus keeping my plugins consistent across all machines.

                                    Cheers

The default Plugins folder path is hard-coded into SketchUp - however, if you install Fredo's Additional Plugins Folder tool you can easily set up your own custom plugins folders.
                                      http://sketchucation.com/pluginstore?pln=000_AdditionalPluginFolders
Unfortunately a custom-folder path will NOT be recognized by the native RBZ Installer button under Preferences > Extensions, BUT if you use the SketchUcation PluginStore dialog to AutoInstall from within SketchUp itself, then it should spot the additional folder in the $LOAD_PATH and offers that as an alternative destination for the plugin's installation.
You can also use the SketchUcation menu item '...Installer' which lets you install downloaded RBZ andZIP archives, and it again spots if there is an additional custom-folder in the $LOAD_PATH and offers that as an alternative destination for the plugin's installation...

Awesome thanks for the clarification TIG. Just looking into the auto update function in the sketchucation tools is there a way to make it detect existing plugins to see whether they are up-to-date too?

To get the full benefit of the plugin it is best to start fresh and install all your plugins through the store again.

This primes your data for future updates to those plugins. Historically we can't tell what you did before the SketchUcation Tools install.

Yeah that is a good idea as it would possibly explain why my sketchup is now crashing on startup after installing skechucation tools. Old rbs never updated, conflicting, time for a cleanup πŸ˜‰
