Need OSX and Windows to develop for SketchUp, so I got a Mac with BootCamp. The Retina screen isn't working that great under Window, so I'm currently using OSX as my main OS while working. It's taking some time to get used to, since I'm a long time PeeCee guy...
well, you should still put windows there so you can hide that from pete.. dude's gonna get some jabs in once he catches wind of it

It was about time! You (and others) are the developers of SketchUp for some time now.
Congratulations! -

Tell me about it! On the other hand, going anywhere in the world is going to be cheaper!
Ah, but will the streets be filled with hotpants-clad blondes?
Seriously, though, best of luck with the new job. Seeing you and Chris on board is kinda exciting. Have fun.

Congrats Thom! We've worked in parallel here on the forums for a long time. Now we get to work side by side. I'm very excited for you to coming on board. It'll be good to finally met you in person

Congratulations - best wishes and glad to see someone of your caliber and imagination (as well as Chris) now on the Trimble team

Congratulations to you...
...and all of us.Quads, UVs and Beziers natively in next version? Then I'll upgrade for sure.
Just a question, can you tell us anything about what your main areas of responsibility at Trimble will be?
-
It is exciting to see people you know are in love with SketchUp for years, being selected for developing it in the future. It is very good move by Trimble which will have lot of fruits for sure. And it is exciting for me to actually know who is behind my favorite peace of software. Congratulations TT and good luck!

Best resignation news for a while - congratulations - your plugins have helped me change the quality of my work in so many ways. Thank you.

Like Pete, I had a feeling this would happen. A really good sense of where Trimble is heading, by the quality folks they are adding.
Congratulations..... No more jet lag at basecamp... -
I'm such a space cadet I didn't even notice ThomThom's new persona and avatar... I kept wondering where everyone was getting this SketchUp insinuation. I get it now. That's fantastic Thom. Congratulations.

I quit my job last month at the architectural office I worked at. after nearly six year. No more making architectural models for me. Probably less SketchUp modeling as well. ..........
Man, I just discovered this post. And, like Chris Fullmer, you managed to pull my leg. With your anouncement of quitting your job and ..... less SketchUp. For a momemt I felt bad about the news, only to then discover the great news in the rest of the post. Itยดs a superb move by Trimble to get you on board. Congratulations to you and the SketchUp team.
(I can picture some other skilled plugin writers working for Trimble/SketchUp in the future) -
Heartfelt congrats, TT_SU!!!!
-
