re-downloaded the latest version just in case i inadvertently downshifted it..
installed only JPP and tried again..
same problem.edit-- tried it with su7 and the latest jpp version and it's super fast again.. around 1 second for the sphere..

2 sec on SU7ugh.. something weird on my computers then (same thing happening on my macpro)
not a good time for this to be happening.. no time to really troubleshoot and I need the plugin.
(taking hours to offset certain surfaces when it should be minutes )edit. oh wait.. I can use su7 to JPP for now.. doh
will figure out the problem later
thanks all -
i moved my plist to the desktop then relaunched sketchup (basically, resetting su)..
the plugin worked as expected.. (not really in the mood for setting everything back up to my liking atm (rich?) so i put the old one back for now... strange that i have two computers doing the same thing.. something i have on both systems must of done something to my plist ?? if it happens again, i'll try to sniff it out..)

thanks allAre you on Lion Jeff?
There is a performance issue under OSX if a plugin updates the statusbar text (uses Sketchup.status_text='...'). It becomes very slow if that method is called in every iteration inside a loop. The reason I wondered if you where also on Lion Jeff was that I was theorizing that something changed in the OS that made the text drawing faster.

Ah, I noticed your computer specs in the first post now. My theory failed!

Jeff, I just tried the same sphere with JPP on my MacBook with OSX 10.6.8. It was just as fast as on my PC.

yeah.. i had a corrupt plist file.. still wandering how it became corrupted in the first place but i'm back to normal now..
i briefly tried to find something weird in there and i came across these two entries..
there's a jointpushpull and a joinpushpull1 (no 't' in joint?)
i'm not sure if both of those should be in there and if not, i'm not sure how the extra one came into play.. maybe an older version?
(i've been using this same plist for a while now.. transferred my su7 settings to it etc.. i dread refreshing my su environment but maybe this is a clue that i should do it now )
